I had to replace the upper control arms since the state of VA has vehicle safety inspections and the control arm boot is one of the items they check. Both boots were cracked. I purchased one of the control arms off amazon.com and one off autopartswarehouse.com . Both were OEM from Honda which surprised me. The amazon.com part was cheaper, but amazon didn't have the right side. I was surprised at how much they cost. It was $188 at the time, but now it is $193. One comment on autopartswarehouse, their website stated the part was in stock and after 3 days in the pending status they came back and said they were out of stock even though the website said they had it in stock. Wasted 3 days waiting for nada.

The install was pretty straight forward. The hardest part was knocking the balljoint out of the arm. A few good precision whacks with the hammer and it came out ok.

yeh I just replaced the ball joint themselves. Look in the wheels suspension section. btw, if the ball joint was still good, you could have spent $10 and just got the replacement boots.

I looked for an upper control arm ball joint, but the upper control arm has the ball joint as an integral part of the control arm frame. There is no way to remove the ball joint from the control arm frame. Unless there is a way that I don't know about.

oh no there is. I JUST did this in my thread this past Saturday. I rented the ball joint press from Autozone with the Honda adapter kit and did both myself.
