Does anyone know what the cooling system capacity is for a '97 TL 2.5? My son just bought one, and it doesn't have an owner's manual. The manual I ordered from Helm hasn't arrived yet. Thanks.

I am not quite sure what you are asking. Hmmm usually the fan turns on automatically after the car has been shut off, for about 2-3 minutes.

Engine cooling system capacity is 7.4 US quarts. Spec also says 5.5 qts for coolant change suggesting that part of coolant can't be drained.

I'm replacing my 97 2.5TL radiator and timing belt this week due to leaking upper cap seam. Check carefully for any leaks. There's a long hot summer ahead.
