1997 Acura clicking sound behind the instrument panel
 

This just started. A clicking sound behind the instrument panel about every 2-3 seconds. The sound gets a fraction of a second shorter/faster as I accelerate. The speedometer is working just fine. Any ideas?

It may be something in the speedometer or trip odo mechanisms.
You could remove the instrument cluster (not too difficult once you figure out how to disassemble the connectors) and take it to a speedometer shop for them to check.

Thanks, figured it out. My trip odometer was sticking. Reset, all good now! :blink:

My trip odo is a little balky also. After the speedo shop changed out my speedometer module, I couldn't get it to reset it when I pushed the button. The guy showed I had to push it harder or something to reset it. Now, I just don't fool with it.
