Oh and my vacuum lines are done, . Took some clever re-use of certain metal fittings from different parts of the engine to make it nice and secure. Only thing left now is that stupid heater valve which I don't have enough money for, . It isn't available at Kragen so I'm going to have to go to the dealer. I guess it's time to bust out the super glue and tack it then silicone it! I'd use marine epoxy but I can't afford that either... Damn, I need to start working again!

~Cheers~

what did you brake the plastic shit on the heater core valve? Like the mechanical thing that opens and closes flow to the heater core?

I need a condensor myself. Mine has a fucking bullet hole in it.,,, Long story.. But im sweatin my ass off out here in the 95 degree heat today.

^ Yeah, it's the little box with some wires on the lower hose (long ass one) coming out of the firewall.

I removed the valve and fixed it myself. I just came back from a test drive with fixed vacuum lines and still no coolant (hoses not connected), but no more CEL, no more TCS light!! Totally different power curve now, and while I let off at 3200 RPM, she started pulling HARD at 2800 RPM! Loving it!!

~Cheers~

if there are no cel's and you fixed it. why are you letting off at 2800

the motors got miles on it. take it to the rev limiter.

haha

I only drove it up the street, hehe. There isn't any coolant in there, and even after that short test drive, one of the hoses that's sticking up out of the engine bay was smoking. Don't worry, the heater valve has been curing since last night, and will be ready for me to stick it back in. One last vacuum line and I'm done! It's alot bigger than the vacuum lines that I had bought, so I have to pick up another foot or so. Vids will be posted comparing a stock one to mine!

~Cheers~

I've already taken care of that. Basically, I re-ran ALL of the vacuum lines myself, and I can't begin to explain it, hehe. Running fine, will be putting the hood back on now, and probably taking it out for some vids!

Blew it up again.

First time on the freeway after a quick (and I mean quick) sprint to 80 and something goes POP!! I lost my front right fender liner, and I have coolant all over my engine bay. Damn, haha! Oh well, time to search for the mysterious leak! Stupid loose clamp somewhere...

~Cheers~

P.S. At 60% throttle, rolling to 75%, from a rolling start of 25 MPH I was spinning like mad until I let off around real speed 35. Speedometer went pretty high up, though, hehe. Also, I don't think that I have a rev limiter anymore, since I was able to spin it past 7K, immediately regretting it because I know this motor hasn't been built for it.

Coolant lines fixed, heater valve bypassed for full time heat, . That'll have to do until I can get to a dealership. Will be getting a new radiator and a shiny new front mount...

...transmission cooler. Fooled you for a sec, didn't I?

^ Meh, a tranny cooler is a tranny cooler. Anyhow, here's an update from tonight:

1) I blew the radiator again.

Going to upgrade to a Koyo one very soon, probably before the car leaves the garage again. Vid of me at a stop light will be posted.

2) DO NOT LET THE TRANNY SHIFT ITSELF IF YOU ARE RACING.

Because of the shift in powerband, the stock shift map telling the tranny to shift at 6300~ RPM is TOO HIGH. There is no power up there and I will post a video proving it.

3) SHIFT YOURSELF.

Do the whole, 1-2-D3 thing if you are racing, shifting it at 5500-6000 RPM. After remembering what was stated above (don't know why it took that to tell me what I already knew), I shifted myself with nice results. Vid of that will be posted, too.

~Cheers~

Didn't know my friend put all the vids together as one:

http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=MfYZ9NoePnA

Basic breakdown:

First race, letting the tranny shift on it's own. Got pulled on.

Second one, shifting myself. Pulled a bus on him.

Third one, leaving it in two the entire time while the Accord went through three gears. Basically even until the top.

Last clip is me at that red light with lot's of nice smoke coming out of my "smoke machine".

~Cheers~

P.S. All races done with three people (one around 200 lbs) in the car, big jumper box and two gallons of water for extra cooling.

^ BPU stuff: AEM CAI, headers and exhaust. I've been trying to help him learn to launch right, and he's been practicing alot. He's the one in that vid I posted awhile back that YT fucked up and all you see are light passing for a sec then it freezes on my sideview mirror with his headlights shining in them.

The car does sound alot meaner than it did before, though!! I'll try and get a nice clip of a drive by without the wind noise. Imagine, that's how my exhaust sounds with one bolt in each header collector, . No leaks, hehe.

~Cheers~

P.S. Damn, I need to sleep more...

LED door mounted puddle lights done (on one door so far). Will post pics soon, but it's 4 LEDs per door. I was going to do 5 but I decided against it, just for balance issues.

~Cheers~

P.S. I will be re-gapping my plugs to the gap I had before, but I'm going to try different gaps out on the butt dyno since these injectors flow more.

^ Yeah, hence door mounted. This wasn't a kit, though, I'm making it myself. Still haven't done the other doors, I pulled an all-nighter playing Final Fantasy II... Anniversary Edition is better than the original in terms of graphics, but that's OT, hehe.

New radiator in 30 minutes after the idiot UPS driver finally dropped it off. The assholes at UPS opened the box and re-taped it. I could tell because the box's staples were bent. Probably didn't help since the side of the box read, "Cooling Your Import World! Standard High-Performance Full Race" so they probably thought they could've fit it in their Integras. Assholes. Car runs awesome! Just need to get used to the weird shifting from the new powerband...

~Cheers~

I could, but I'd have to find one from a 96-98 first. I was just talking about that to my friend about 20 minutes ago, too. We'll be tuning soon, as soon as my other friend finally installs his standalone so I can take his SAFC. Pulling hard again tonight, got it on video I believe, of me with two heavyset guys pulling on a BPU TSX. He put up a good fight, though, and I have to give him props. Last TSX I raced I walked, so I'm glad his parts are doing some good!

Smoked an 06-07 SLK, non-AMG (obviously) earlier. Didn't know we were racing until I heard her downshift and punch it. She got a half-car jump, but I sailed right past her. Some B18, empty shell of a Rex was next to me and he had punched at the light almost at the same time the girl did. Got to give him props as I didn't pull away from him as easily as I did her. Note to self: need to get that manifold taken care of.

Ask and ye shall receive!

Look for me at 1:03, taking a modded 6-speed G35. I know the guy and afterwards, he called me to verify that the other G was an auto. When I told him it was, he replied, "Man, I can't drive..." haha! His car used to be supercharged until he blew his motor, and the current one if practically brand new.

~Cheers~

P.S. I pass him on camera at 1:10-1:11.

Man! Not to be an A**hole or anything. You guys should go race on a wooded highway or something ,not on a street! I just worry something bad might happen to you, your friends, people, and especially Sayuri.

Anyway, great video. The sound of the engine is just bad!
And that G looks familiar. Too bad the VQ aint turboed otherwise, it'd be untouchable.
