WANTED: RL Navigation Hard Drive Card

Hey everyone.

So I have a 98 RL with navigation, and I recently changed states, so my navigation system doesn't have maps for where I moved to. I have the California/Nevada hard disk maps for the system, but I need a card that has maps for Arizona.

Can anyone direct me to where I can get the hard disk for Arizona maps? I called my Acura dealership and they want $1377, for that stupid little hard disk card! Let me emphasize this, one-thousand, three-hundred and seventy-seven dollars!

I'd be willing to pay someone if they have one lying around. I've kind of checked online and have had no luck finding one. Thanks, all.

No, after 1999, I believe they went to the DVD based navigation system. Mine, being a 98 uses the little hard disk things. So, unfortunately, that would not be able to work, but thanks though.

Could you upgrade your navi to the one like what was in the 2004? I know a guy on craigslist that I got a trunk lid and rear bumper cover for mine when it was crashed 3 weeks ago. He stripped out the 04 and appears to have everything from it.

Just a thought.

Your best bet would be to use a 99-03 nav on yours. You'd have to double check the wiring pinouts but I believe they are exactly the same.

Used ones can be found for around 200 or so. slap in an old disc maybe 50 bucks and your good to go.

Yeah, for now, I'm trying to avoid any wiring, because I've already put in the navigation system once (took it from my wrecked RL and put it in the replacement). But thanks for the suggestions, if I do decide to swap it out in the future I'll definitely do a 99-03.

Thanks guys.

If I remember corectly there shouldnt be any wiring at all . I believe they use the same plugs and pinouts so it would be plug and play, but thats something you need to double check.
