Tire and wheel upgrade to 245/45-17 ???

Anyone have experience with 245/45-17 on OEM rims from a TL.
My car isn't lowered. Is there a reference somewhere on this site?

The wheels are 8 inches wide with +45 offset. Should make the rears stick out another 1.25 inches

oh, i know the specs of the 3rd gen rim...i own a 3rd gen.

I was trying to help you out..
but if you've already done your measuring and would think that they would stick out 1.25 inches, then go right a head!!

That 1.25 might be cutting it close
I could still use some real hands on though.

Decided to go with 245/40/18 on 18 X 7.5 RDX wheels. Will have the rear fenders rolled.

245 isn't a bad setup on TL wheels when using them on a first gen RL... I prefer 235 more though, personally. if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. both cars pictured are my old and current setup. Note: to add, both setups are using H+R 5mm spacers on all 4 corners and never had any issues.
