Small amount of spilled power steering fluid -- cause for concern?
Hello,
I recently went to fill fluids. I filled the power steering fluid, and accidentally spilled some in the engine. Some of it got on the exterior of the plastic housing for the power steering fluid, some of it got on some rubber hosing, and some of it went all the way down to the bottom of the engine area and is on some sort of metal/plastic component. Not much was spilled in total, but still, is this cause for concern? I'm mostly worried about the engine smoking, but that likely wouldn't happen, since the fluid spilled far away from the actual engine cylinders, right?
Thanks, I know this is a newbie question, and not particular to Acura's, but I am nonetheless finally learning to do basic maintenance.
Thanks again!
