Yeah they do. The one I have is actually a '78 Royce 604 though. But it still works and has been taken care of!

It is all in my sig... I also got LED cluster and interior conversion.
I'm planning to get TSX fog light, STi v lip under my wing west lip, and of course Tein coil over. Im in the process of writing a DIY for 04 taillight on a 96-98 that is enought for now lol

How did you install the back-up sensors? If I may ask how much did parts cost? Is it just a siren or do you have some sort of display that tells you how close you are?

I found a section below the bumper padding. The kit that I bought comes with the hole saw that you would use to make the holes for the sensors to go through. Got the kit off a seller on ebay and it came with the display that also has the siren built on it. Here is a pic of how they look. More to come.

Hi Earl, your mods are nice, subtle but nice especially the lights.

Full speaker swap- Alpine components front, MTX 5 1/4 rear doors, Alpine 6x9 rear deck, 2 12 inch Alpine Type R subs
3 amps, 1 cap

Future enhancements:
***Paint Job (a few weeks depending on the job schedule)
***Below the lip foglights

Jimmay, that's a nice looking install on your headunit. I noticed your shifter looks alot like mines. Have you researched finding another, if so shoot me some details.

Hey NYC_RL. How did you convert to DVD navigation? I'm using one of the hard disks at the moment. Did you swap out the screen for a larger size too?

I've actually totally taken out and installed the navigation system from one car to another. But, I was just wondering.

Good pic^, keep em coming. Please help, for those who have installed an aftermarket amp where/how do you run the power cable through the firewall? I checked and it does not have any space. I don't want to drill the hole because behide the firewall is a jungle of wires!

I've had my 2002 RL for three years now, and I wanted to spice it up. Its white on tan.
What I was thinking of doing: Matte Black wrap (but the chrome trim has to still show)
18" Black Deep dish rims (with a bit of chrome trim)
all black grille with just the acura sign
light tint so tan interior still shows
Extended woodgrain package

And input or suggestions? I'm starting the work next week so i will have before and after pics

^^^ go for it Personally, I'm not a fan of the all black grill, but "murdered out" is what you're going for it seems. Have fun and post pics!

So far... I'm going to look into having some form of front upper ball joints fabricated to help our community. since there isn't a real aftermarket for us, and I have seen one set up before, i figured I'd look into it considering that SPC and others don't make a real kit for us like they do for the other chassis in our field (Accord, CL, etc.)

I'm playing around with the idea for another mod as well, but I'll keep this one on the DL for now until I get it figured out.

I just noticed this thread, and despite it being dead I figured I’d drop my ride for anyone looking to get into this platform.

I have an 02 Non-Navi that I picked up, unmolested and with a full dealer service history from the original owner, all at 90,000 miles too.

What I’ve done:

Brembo rotors and pads, Brembo calipers from 08 RL

Stock wheels for now, more than likely getting 07-08 TL 5 spokes

Air ride coming

10.1” android tablet for the head unit, Infinity Kappa Perfect Components all the way around on a Taramps 400x4, Dayton 4x8 DSP, Dayton Ultimax 12” in a 4.5Cu Ft enclosure and 2 Sundown SA6.5” subs, each with their own Alpine 600 watt amps. (probably have more into my stereo than any other RL owner, if you have any questions, I’m your guy).

Reupholstering the whole car with Perforated leather (cream color) and black leather bolsters as well as accenting. Ceiling is off for alcantara and Rolls Royce grade Starry night Treatment.

Headlights are 8k HID, high beams are 6k HID
Fogs are 6K LED

Interior, I’ve done a custom gauge cluster with LED’s (but not t6.5’s because they’re weak in output imo). I actually soldered bigger high output LED’s to the ribbon cable with appropriate solder.

Retrofit high beam LED’s into reverse lights and reworked the enclosure to provide adequate back up lighting due to tint

Tint is 20% front and 5%all the way around on the rear.

Custom full car length center console with wireless charging, as well as an integrated hookah system.

Custom Vip table up Front

04 center stack, door sills, shifter trim, air vents, cluster trim, as well as 04 tweeter grilles+mounts and relocation on my stock 02 doors.

Going to be redoing my front suspension with poly bushings and then lowering on air ride.

Given the amount of time I’ve spent on this car, I’d say I’ve become an amateur expert on these cars. That being said, if anyone has any questions fee free to ask me, I’ll be active for a few years.
