Rear Coilovers doesnt fit.

The TSX coilover, and the RL coilover ends look way different.

The TSX bottom is open ended, while the RL is closed, with a bushing.
Did they send me the wrong coilovers

to use the tsx coilovers you have to use a washer to work on rear. the tsx coilovers will work and they do look different then the rl coilovers. not sure what washer you need to use but do a google search or if anyone can chim in should know. hope that helps

What i mean is, mine came out the box looking like this.

The rear ones are open ended on the bottom. Aren't they suppose to be closed, with a bushing inside the bottom strut?

thats a good question. as far as i know from research and everyone on here. the coilovers should be direct bolt in on rear just needing a washer thats all. as for what those look like what year tsx did these come off of?

I ordered them directly from Ksport.
The picture is one i found online, isnt mines.
I've been searching about TSX coilovers, and the bottom of the rears are closed, with a bushing, just like the RL's. Maybe they sent me the wrong ones. -_-

thats a good one i may have to let someone chim in that knows a little more about the rl then i do lol. but from looks of it im pretty sure the 2 coilovers on the outsides are the rear coilovers, and the 2 in the middle are for the front. this is the thread i have been going by these are the legend coilovers installing on the rl.

yea im pretty sure for the tsx ksports to work you have to have the years from 03-07 here is what they should look like. the 2 on the right are the fronts and the 2 on the left are the rears the rear looks different then your rears.

hmm thats weird i think they just have it marked wrong. cause the 04-08 should look just like the rl coilover might wanna give them a call.

it looks like you got the coils for a 2nd gen tsx (the kind with a V6) you need the first gen which is 03-08 with the 4cyl...

FlyingBros, the shop i ordered from, told me they're willing to exchange the coilovers. That'll give me more time to get strut mounts and drill them out. Broke about 3 rear ones -_-.

Well I have the opposite problem, I ordered 04-08 tsx coilovers from form and function and none of the top hats will bolt on. The front top hats have the bolts too close together while the rear top hats only have two bolts. Any chance they might have send me the wrong stuff?

i might be reading this incorrectly... but did you swap the RL stock suspension top hats onto the TSX coils yet? I thought i read you had to do that from the others that posted since these are not a direct bolt on...

..Like the Legend coilovers are. Just saying.

if i read correctly you bought the right suspension. but you cannot use the tsx top hats you have to unbolt the top hats from the function and form and from your stocks rl suspension. and put the stock rl suspesion top hat onto your function and forms. the function and form top hats will not work on rl. if thats what you were asking lol. not sure. but i have dont alot of tsx coil research. and thats all you have to do plus put a washer in the rear.

Does the washer make the rear coilovers sit tightly. Or does it just sit there, to create as little movement as possible? My hardware stores doesnt know what a #5 washer is lol. Anyone mind telling me the size? thanks.

well i havent installed them on rear. ordering hopefully soon for mine. but after doing all the research i did. the rear washer is there to make the rear coilover sit more tightly into the mount. so it doesn move around while you are driving thats all its for. here is the link i got from someone else with info on the #5 washer might help you.

Just one washer should be good enough? Because there's a lot of play in the back.
Thanks by the way.

from what i was told just 1 washer. should cover the difference in play. cause there should be a little bit of play from what i was told. cause it wont fit completely tight. so one washer should be all you need. talked to a couple people that are local to me and even saw tsx coilovers on a rl in person from a local guy. he only had one washer and said he has had installed for almost a year now and he used function and form version 1 from tsx and ride was great. thinking about picking up a set of those myself lol.

I went to the hardware store, and picked up washers that fit the bolt. I used 2, for as little play as possible. Have it on, looks good.
