BTW my coilover is less than 700 miles, so it is kind of stiff. Based on the staffs from BC they told me that it requires a breakin period which is 1000-3000 miles.
BTW, are you using BC Racing with Swift springs? I have been reading that setup is very street friendly. Thanks.

I'm not on swift springs. I see mix review and never bother on them. If you don't mind spend big buck AirTekk has air suspension for our car!

since its comfort you want in your ride then yeah air would be the way.

but the equation still applies, you can swap the uppermounts in a bag setup the same way, so you have more options, and a better price range, than only looking for a ka9 kit. air runner makes a kit specifically for the ka9 as well. but even it has a disclaimer saying that you need to make modifications

ive also done H&R springs on oem struts.
it was lower but it wasn't sufficient. its very underwellming to say the least

Nicolaspal, where have you been man? The RL section is getting really lonely lol. BTW, nice pic and did you painted your inner headlight black? And also do you plan to stay with 19" or going 18". I really want a bag set up, so I'm still searching what is the best route to go.

Since I am looking for mild drop H&R or Eibach would suffice, but they are not available for the RL anymore and people mod the Legend/TSX springs.

You need to get the Legend front forks, brake bracket, koni red and H&R spring. Then reuse your RL top hat. It's going to run you around $750 I believe.

So this H&R Spring is from a Legend, right?

Anyone using the European H&R springs for the KA9s? Please post feedback. Looks like it is still available. Maybe a bit costly at $400 but should be completely PnP without any needed mods.

If you are using, please post some reputable sites to buy from. Thanks.

BTW, you should redo your taillight hahaa it has a lot of orange peel. You should try Niteshade to smoke out, it is like a mirror!

Awesome to hear this is an option for us. Would you mind posting the website/vendor you used for all our benefits? Thanks. I am relieved there is at least a easy alternative here. What shocks are you using with these springs?

the vibration is hard to explain. Ive done several things to try and combat it, new transmission mount, new bearings, new axel, diff flush, different wheel tire combos, camber kit front and back. new upper control arms in rear, new rotors all the way around... but it persists cant figure hat out. but it is only for a split second right when you start moving. 0-10 15max.

Was the vibration from lowering the car? Did you have it before? What are your lowering specs?

It's for only lowered and slammed RL. I also replaced the two front motor mounts but the vibration it is still there. You have to learn how to live with it lol

The slight vibration lasting for a few seconds at start from a stopped position has been well documented for these cars when you go lower than an inch.

We think it comes from the angle of the axles or something strange like that. Nothing you can do about it so far either. Not really an annoyance, but noticeable to the normal driver.

If you ease on the gas from a stop you won't be able to tell but under normal or harder acceleration it feels like a slight shutter for a second or 2.

never heard of those particular springs.
the h and r's were 30 mm and personally not enough.
these say fronts are 40mm so maybe a little better.
these are an okay alternative if your putting 20's
but anything smaller and coilovers are the way to go.
the MOST BASIC coilovers you could get are funtion and form type one for the tsx (650ish and pay your shop about 200 bucks for an install) these are height only coils and will get you lowered at a reasonable rate.

if your paying probably 250 for the springs + shipping + shocks you still gotta buy + labour = just get the coilovers.

The only 100% RL plug n play coilover is BC coilover. No modification require, all you have to do is removed the old one and install BC. BC coilover have 2 versions, the normal or the Extreme drop (this will slammed your car to the ground). I got the normal version on Ebay, wish i got the extreme drop and the wait time is about 2 weeks, you can search 96-04 acura RL BC coilover on Ebay. Make sure you tell them which version you plan to get. Hope thats help.

Just a heads up, if anyone is interested I will be posting a for sale ad in the marketplace selling koni struts modified to lower RL 1.5" in front and 1" rear. If you have any questions let me know and I'll send you the link to the market place ad.

So I purchased the BC coilover suspension for our cars. So far so good. Nothing really to report as installation was pretty much straight forward. I will be playing with adjustments and will probaly make a thread on its own about my thoughts and their performance etc. My old Koni setup is now for sale in the marketplace if anyone is interested. https://acurazine.com/forums/car-par.../#post15988257

More crazy talk from the new guy... is there a suspension kit that will raise the vehicle a little?

Something that will make entry & exit a little easier.

The only suspension setup that made cars any higher was the Koni struts and that was only in the rear for towing purposes.

if you can manage to find a jdm company you my have better luck if your looking for the onicamber thing.

just for everyones knowlage

04 TSX coilovers cross over to the accord of the same generation.
TL coilovers crossover to the accord aswell

from this we can say that

TL TSX ACCORD = RL compatible (with OEM or KA8 uppermounts)

the KA8 uppermounts will fit. but you have to drill the strut holes for the tower bar.

More up to date pic!

What you guys thinks I’m on 20s coilovers or springs ??

New here

hi everyone, 1st time here.. I just lowered or should i say slammed my 04' RL on megan damper set made for RL. I got about 1-1/2 clearance underneath.. I was online looking for camber kits, but had very little luck finding anything under RL, period.. Reading from past post i did find it very useful about camber (front) ball joint (rear) 98-02 accord. (Front) i did find adjustable ball joint from eibchi. Now is that the one most peep use..? I also read that the RL damper coil set vs. TSX damper coil. RL gives you less space vs. TSX gives you more space to play with wheel size/spec.. I was looking to purchase a set of 19x8.5 offset+40 wrapped on 215/35. It was on TSX.. Am i able to fit those wheel on my RL, now that it got me wondering about space between suspension/wheels.. Any answer would be helpful.. Thanks.
