ground control coils?

curious if anyone has every though about picking up the 91 legend ground control coilver sleeves and springs, and just picking up some tokico or koni struts and shocks might be a cheaper route and still effective i had ground control and koni adjustable setup on my gsr integra and felt really good. what you guys think? here is kit im talking about with some kyb, tokico, or koni shocks/struts.

in my opinion...if you are buying that new...and then buying struts (kyb or tokico/koni) it would add up to equal or higher than finding some quality complete matched coilover set/tsx tein.
i dont think it would be the best spent money...when a tad more may give your better results.

Agreed. I'd rather have a matching set of coils personally...

I would say the ground controls would give u a less bumpy ride than coilovers but not as comfortable as a shocks/spring combo. The adjustability would be nice and replacing parts would be a little more easier I think, that is with the tools available. I can't say how they'd ride since I have yet to ride in another lowered rl than my own. Try to look up some legend owners that have that combo. When it all comes down to it, it's gonna feel like a lowered car with a lot of weight haha. If I remember to check back later, I'll post some links that will give you an idea. Konis FTW btw. I read terrible reliability issues with legend made tokicos.

Even with prices of coilovers vs shock/spring vs shock/gc's, expect to pay at the minimum a grand to get good. Unless you pick up some really good deals

is anyone using jdm coilovers.....around 660$ish on ebay. i can link if needed.
they are rl specific. and many are listed to have been used for under 20k kilometers...
if you wish to do something different that may be an option.
but 99blkhatch is right tho. legend coilovers are comparatively low in price.

That's if you're interested in tearing apart the new TSX coils and the RL stock struts to make the TSX coils work... sounds like a lot of work for something the Legend coils already have done for you.

but i think OLD HATCH did a thread on the suspension info.
