Those are the pics, for anyone who didn't want to click the album manually.

See Fab, aren't these photos MUCH better than the first ones you re-posted? Nice snapshots for your memory too, I'm sure.

What a beauty. Here are your other pics. The paint on my 2002 with 157k is no where near yours but I'm surprised how it shines with a good polish. What Zaino do you use?

I felt the same way until I picked up my 02 RL with a moonroof visor. The plus is that you can drive down the highway with your moonroof open and it's as quiet as with it closed. The minus is that it cuts your actual opening in half.

I've noticed it can add noise with the moonroof closed.

Wink

Thanks for all the wecome return responses! And yes I have a elephant memory so I do remember most here and there (other sites). I'm still here peeping at all your postings just don't respond much.....too Same ole same ole stuff.....
I use just a variety of Zaino (Z5, Z6-often, Z Grand Finale for the wood dash parts) and buy his expensive cotton towels....keep in mind my RL has NEVER been thru any car wash, NONE NADA, NO RAIN either.....PURE ZAINO from day one delivered to my pad-hand washed and waxed in my driveway.....I've also NEVER brought back to the dealer. I do all my service work (when needed LOL).
Sunroof visors work well to keep the car 420 clean....hint hint.....its the effect not the looks......
Happy motoring and hope you Easter was gud.....

OLD_HATCH:
It was a company referred by this site or the other ones I frequent. The service was a NIGHTMARE....I recall the first shipment arrived was damaged. They gave me grief to return for another one. Due to this experience I've totally forgotten them purposely and have not referred them to anyone. Also I bought it almost 7 years ago when she was brand spanking new.....use Zaino Grand Finale on the wood parts to keep in nice and clean....good to see you are still around....

Cool. I might have seen you around here. I used to deliver pizza there, worked at Pizza guys for almost a year. Delivered a lot around your place. That part of town has the best (and huge) homes in Antioch.

does veggie include cheese though?

I can do tomato, cheese, peppers, onions, maybe some olives etc. Get some sort of low fat chese and youll be good to go. The dough doesnt help much either so gotta go thin crust. lol

The older Onstar systems Acura and GM (and others used) is analog only. Some 2nd gen RL's have a digital/analog hybrid system that still works.

As you may now, analog cell frequencies are almost extinct in the US now. Only a very few companies still offer it, mostly in rural areas with ranchers etc.

Blame the FCC and the fact that analog frequencies were occupying a lot of the bandwidth. Blaming Bush is just ridiculous.

you know i can probably make it work if you gt the digital part.

its basicly 3 parts.
1 the onstar unit
2 the radio (cell)
3 interface box (The RL doesnt have as many inputs as GM cars)

all i need is the pinout for the new onstar radio part and maybe it will work. lol

It might

Not sure if a new rear view mirror is needed. Not quite sure if it would plug into the amplifier as well.

The last year it was offered was on the 06' RL. I thought I read on here that the 04" RL model could pay to have the upgrade but that anything older than that would be SOL. Here's what's on Wiki: "In April 2006, GM notified approximately 500,000 of their OnStar customers who had analog service that their service would be terminated effective December 31, 2007, because starting February 18, 2008 the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) would no longer require US cell phone systems to operate in analog mode. Customers who purchased a prepaid, non-refundable, non-transferable 1-year OnStar Safe & Sound subscription were scheduled to receive an equipment upgrade. If the vehicle is from the 2003, 2004, or 2005 model year, an adapter costing approximately US$200 (includes a one year subscription) can be installed at the customer's expense. If it is older, it will simply no longer be usable." Maybe this was just for GM customers.
