Epic Headlight Restoration

so my headlights were looking a lil foggy and i decided to make it look all purrrdy!

Materials needed:
sand paper - 400, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000 grits (you can keep going higher if you want)
waterbottle
Merguires headlight restorer with Merguires Plastic X
A highspeed drill
Masking or Painters tape

Step 1- Mask off around Headlight

Step 2- Sand headlights while pouring water over headlights to make sure the headlights and the sand paper remains moist, starting with the 400 grit and working your way up to 2000 grit till the headlight has an even foggy-ness

Step 3 - apply Plastic X to applicator pad that came in the headlight restoration kit

Step 4- Run drill at a low speed to evenly spread plastic x over headlights

Step 5- Run drill at max speed and firmly polish headlights

And the Finished Product looks like...

and i had some extra money lying around so i decided to do some Lamin-x so that i wont have to restore them quite as often

the blue faded over time and isnt quite as blue, which is perfect because now it gives the headlights a bit of a crystal look, as soon as i can find one, i'll post a new picture!

$75 for the whole set (headlights+fogs)

yes the headlights fade to a nice subtle really light crystal blue over time, and the yellow does not fade one tiny bit! one of the best purchases ive ever made for my car!

Great job, I'll need to try this out on the JDM headlights that are finally fading.
