EGR cleanup
 

I have 2002 RL and my mechanic suggested I could clean EGR clog by removing it,then using thin cable to run it inside pipe and then soak it with cleaner and leave it overnight and then in morning try to run car and see if it unclogs it.Possible repeat it few times.
Has anyone done it that way.Is there any other tricks beside doing total removal and cleanup of entire system.

I've just sprayed brake cleaner or whatever through mine (4G TL). Lots of black soot comes out. But I've never had it actually clog - just clean it on occasion to prevent clogging.

I dont know about TL but RLs EGR clog all the time.Ill try soaking it overnight and see what happens.
