Drivers side window

Hello,

I have a '97 RL, and about a week ago the window stopped going up and down. I can hear the motor running fine, but the glass won't move. Is this an easy fix?

The window regulator design on the early Acura RL's sucked and the Acura forums are loaded with folks who had to replace broken window regulators on thier first generation RL's. The motor and regulator are one piece and the window regulator is cable-driven and the cables are prone to breaking over time. I was having the window tint replaced on my 2000 RL several months ago and both rear window regulators broke at the same time. They are not that hard to replace depending on your skill level, and there are plenty of YouTube videos that show you how to do it. I was able to find a pair for $78.00 online at A1Auto and had a mechanic I know install them for $60.00. It took him about an hour for both but I had already remove the door panels and removed the plastic barrier underneath for him. I could have done it myself but for me it was worth it to have a mechanic familiar with the procedure do it for me at a very reasonable price.
