Unhappy Aaaaaaaand, time for a rant.

My baby is sick! I've got a rear main seal leaking (someone else mentioned they have the same problem, too, within the last week or so). Also, my camshaft seal is leaking. Also, Acura quotes me about $1500 to get it fixed, although I may spend $100 more in parts to get other miscellaneous seals done while they have the car all apart.

Don't get me wrong, the folks at my Acura dealer are very nice, and very competitively priced. You only have to ask and you get 15% of service right off the bat. But, I'm really hoping they can help me out a little more with the price.
They said that they might be able to do something.

I just spend so much time trying to keep my car is showroom condition, and cosmetically it looks wonderful! I just feel helpless knowing that I can't do all this engine stuff myself, seeing as I don't have a lift rack and time because I am moving back to AZ for my university on Saturday.

I feel like the spouse in any number of those doctor shows where I am waiting outside the operating room and the doctor comes out and the first thing I say is, "Well, doc, how is she? Will she make it?"

End rant.

Lol, Nice rant. Dude the leaking rear seal is nothing. Don't try to pour money fixing the seal. As I said it before, I had this problem and as long as check your oil level it will be ok. I'm having the P0174 code and it is driving me crazy right now. I could not find any vacuum leak and it drives normally.

Damn seems like a lot of people are getting this issue. But with every old car issues are bound to pop up. How bad of a leak is it? Like 3.5 said I wouldn't bother with it unless it really leaks bad.

My car has the SRS light that never goes out but I've found by slapping the dash it will go out until I hit a few more bumps.

Why should we be so rough with our cars?! Haha. But, no, I'm getting it fixed because every time I park in the garage there is a potent smell of hot oil. It's time to get it done, I guess.
