97 RL oil on radiator top

97 RL oil on radiator top
97 RL 133k miles. smell burning fluid. the spongy material that runs along top of radiator is soaked with what feels likes oily fluid. Anyone have same experience, and can you offer cause and/or fix?

Check your coolant reservoir, and check the end of the hose that sticks in to see if there's any oil residue there. If there is oil there could be Valve cover gasket.
How is the condition of the radiator hoses? there's I think 2 more hidden behind the engine too.
could have a small crack on the radiator, or maybe you or someone accidentally spilled something while topping off one of the other fluids the car runs.
