2000 rl 3.5 timing
OK if I install my timing belt with both cams and crankshaft timing marks aligned rotate the crank 6 revs and all my timing marks are good can I rotate the crank 1 rev and install my balancer belt with the timing marks aligned? If not can you tell me why?

During disassembly when I aligned the cam timing marks and the crankshaft timing mark the balancer timing marks did not align. The manual says turn crankshaft 1 rev I did and the balancer timing marks were inline but the cams and crankshaft were not. I removed the balancer belt and rotated the crankshaft until the cams and crankshaft timing marks aligned. I then put the lower cover and crank pulley back on and did the six revs all timing marks are correct. Then it says to turn the crank until cam1 has moved 10 teeth and the blue timing mark on the crank pulley should be aligned with the pointer. This must be a sick joke of some kind. The car is 19 years old what are the odds of a blue mark still being on the crank pulley? Then the six revs again and the put the cams and crank back on timing marks then turn one rev on the crank and confirm the balancer marks are good then turn one rev on the crank and confirm ALL timing marks align. Really? Can someone explain this to an old man?
