Does anyone know where I can pickup a plastic faceplate frame for the navigation system? Or, I noticed a while back someone upgraded their navigation to a larger screen, perhaps a how-to on that would be great.

I'm pretty tech-savy. I installed a whole navigation system for it, wiring harness and all into mine, so I know all the little wires and stuff.

Try installer.com. Pricey at +$300, but they do have a 2 DIN faceplate.

Thanks, but I'm actually looking for the stock replacement. Maybe, I'll just try to fix the one I have somehow. Hard to believe that expensive for a piece of plastic, though.

Agreed! Beat-Sonic wants too much for the plastic! I'm looking for something similar for my 1998 RL. I found a 2003 center piece that looks much better than the 1998's, so I am going to swap that out. Problem is, I'm can't find a reasonable price for a double DIN face plate. I'm almost at the point I will do the dremmel trick, but wanted to see what kind of luck everyone else has had...

Is it for the OEM navi or aftermarket? If you go aftermarket double din NAVI just make the plate your self. I made the the plate my self using the oem plastic.

No, I need the original Acura-brand faceplate, for the 98, or 97 model navigation system. I think the 99 will work too, it just has to be the square one.
