1997 RL Battery Won't Hold a Charge

Hello,

I have let my RL sit up for a few months and now the battery is dead. I connected my battery charger to it and it would not take a charge. (Battery is relatively new) It makes a clicking noise at intervals around every 10-15 seconds.

Anyone have any ideas about what is going on?

Thanks

It is possible that even with a relatively new battery, it might have a dead cell. I had a battery replaced under warranty that way. Definitely worth investigating!

If you let a battery completely die, many times, a cell can die and never be recovered. That's why battery tenders were created to have them always be charged even if your car won't be driven. Warranty it!

Sorry....I meant 1997 RL.......I'll try to charge 1 more time and if it won't take a charge I'll try to swap it out on warranty.
