Right then, if it's not pink and frilly but it has a built in bud vase, it still may be a chick car.

Maybe that lift-kit too. And behind the bull balls hang an analog clock. So as the balls swing back and forth the folks behind can see what time it is. No chick car in its right mind would be seen with that set-up.

Never really thought of RDX as a chick car. I've heard Prelude described as same before, but disagree there too.

What defines a chick car?

Poor RAV. So hard on the eyes. But in its defense the fwd version does have an LSD an an optional V6. So it is more like an ugly chick car on steroids. Run!

I would have purchase the Rav4 for the v6 and mpg.
First thing I would get is really dark tints to hide myself from people seeing me driving it though.

Ha, and dark shades for when you get in and out!

I looked too. Get the spare off the back first. V6 w/LSD I was there but dang it was cheap and ugly looking.

Chick car = a car that looks all cute, has questionable performance, but is loved by girls because of its cuteness.

example: VW Cabriolet.

I would argue that neither the first gen or the second gen RDX is a chick car. Not cute enough, and both have the right amount of performance.

My 2 cents.

I think Acura does a good job with neutral styling with their vehicles that seem to get better with age. Acura styling seem to last a lot longer than other luxury brands. The 1995 Acura Legend coupe or sedan still looks sexy as hell compared to an Infiniti/Lexus/MB of the same year.

The image I get with Acura is young or young at heart, tech savvy, wild streak on occasion, standing out from the crowd without showing off, willing to commit to a long-term relationship, and fiscally responsible.

I had a 1995 Legend, Black on Black. I ran that thing into the ground. 260k miles!!! before I blow a head gasket. other than that the car was still mint. leather looked new!!

I sold it to a guy for 4k, he said he was going to fix it and sell it for 7k, I didnt care as it would of cost me a bunch to fix.

Great cars.

Found out the V6 in the 2013 RDX uses a timing belt, while the turbo 4 uses a chain. How much does a timing belt replacement cost?

Check out the turbo engine from Hyundai, no lag.

2.0L engine with twin scroll turbo, no lag, got to drive it to believe it, 264 hp at 6,000 rpm, (274hp on the Sonata, larger intake scoop), 269 ft-lbs of torque at 1750 rpm, 17.2 psi at 1750 rpm, tapers to 14 psi by 5000 rpm. Gasoline Direct Injection engine (GDI), runs on 87 (10 additional hp if running 93 gas). Very quiet overall. Why in hell did Acura go with a V-6 when there was a new technology (twin scroll turbo) that would have made their turbo 4 much better, haven’t they ever heard of reverse engineering?

Didn't the VW Beetle have a bud vase on the dash when they did the "rebirth"? I'd call that a "chick car as well...

^I have a 2 seat vert, kind of small. Is it girly? Your statement is a bit broad. Like I can milk anything with nipples.

Same thoughts as Joe

As Joe above stated about the Sante Fe, my wife and I looked into the 2013 RDX and though her lease end is still about 2 years away, I'm considering keeping her 2012 RDX because of the Turbo. We didn't get the Turbo for fuel economy. Sadly to say, she's considering the Sante Fe when her lease is up. On the plus side, I'm gonna keep her 2012 RDX It's a shame that a company like Hyundai is putting out a vehicle offering so much more amenities than Acura does for its RDX. Now before I get beat up about comparing two different companies (Acura is considered luxury, at least I think it is) I'm just saying that these luxury car manufactures need to wake up because the other affordable car manufactures seem to be offering more for less. As a consumer and like Joe above, we are leaning to manufactures like Hyundai.
