Who will trade their Acura for the RDX

I know there are a lot of details we don't know, but I think I might trade my TL for the RDX, esp. if it has a V6. Anyone else?

If my wife's pills are defective and we end up reproducing too early and it has a V6, then I may

Depends on what the final product and specs look like. If our next car is not an SUV we may very well pick one up in 2006.

this would be a great time to trade in my old 97 Quest for the RDX.
I'll keep the TL.

I certainly will consider it, of course, depending on the final specifications and price. On the other hand, SH-AWD version of the TL would be pretty nice as well.

If it's at a good price range, has decent power, etc, etc, I might try to convince my parents to give up on their almost 20 year old Civic.

If production looks as good as concept, and it has the right amount of power... no doubt!

At this point I'm not sure. I will likely need a vehicle in the next few years to accomodate my two kids. So I'm not sure how the TSX will fit the bill - they are 18 months and 1 month old right now - so the back seat is dominated by car seats. As they get older, we'll be going off to sports/kids activities plus vacations and such.

My question is whether I need a bigger vehicle, and whether the RDX is suitable for a family of 4 (2kids, wife, and me)? We're a 1 car family since I walk to work.

My options??
a) keep the TSX
b) get an RDX or CRV size SUV
c) get a larger SUV
d) get a station wagon (legacy, passat, A4)
e) get a minivan (dread)
f) get a larger sedan

What do you guys think? Many of my friends have taken the minivan route, but I"m seriously hesitant having one of those as my only vehicle...
I'm leaning towards a wagon (please Acura, bring the EuroAccord Tourer to NA!)

I will consider it since my wife is trading in her SUV in the spring for the new Mustang GT and I only have another year to go on my 2003 TL-S lease.

Depends on your financial situation and are you looking to buy new or old. If you still owe money on your TSX, then you will take a hit trading it in. You could always sell it privately. The only, and I mean only minivan I would consider is the Ody. Ask provench about it. He picked up a 2005 Ody and enjoys it.

The LGT wagon is pretty nice both inside and outside. IMO it is the best wagon for the money and subaru makes the best the AWD vehicle. Check this site out for more about it: www.legacygt.com

The CR-V is a great small SUV with lots of room. Its good on gas mileage and a very safe vehicle. They made a lot of improvements and fresehned it up for the MY05. If you buy used, then it will cost you. The CR-V has great resale value.

Hope this helps and this is my

Its' hard to give up the TL unless the specs are right....More torque & horsepower than my 04TL Must have the same goodies as the TL then, I'm up for it.

The RDX or future CRV is definitely something I would consider. Like others on the site I'm a loyal Honda/Acura fan as the brand has been good to me. I feel the Pilot/MDX while fine vehicles are too big for my needs and thus would be a waste of gas & $$.
I've shopped for and test driven the current CRV while a solid SUV - reliable, economical, good performer - lacks the refinement I'm looking for. The interior has too much hard plastic and lacks the aesthetis of the Accord/TSX/TL/RL dashboards and certain desirable conveniences like: power seats, dual zone ventilation, lumbar seats.
Hopefully the RDX and possibly even the 3rd generation CRV will address these shortcomings and once again lead the mini SUV category.

It will all depend on where this vehicle is priced. But it is on the list for sure.

Yup, its on my radar for the time being...
My very preliminary guess is somewhere in the $39K-$42K CAN$$.
Top CRV model = $33K CAN, MDX = $48-50K CAN, so somewhere in the middle??....but this is wild speculation at the moment without knowing the engine and other details....my

If the Tl has SH-AWD in three years then I'm going with the TL, but if the RDX gets a V6 it may be a tough call. The thing that'll seal the deal is that hard-drive system....if the RDX has that, no question I'll get an RDX

Waiting for accurate specs and release date of the RDX. If V6 is confirmed, AWD, and hopefully 230 plus HP, I will be putting down my deposit and selling my 99 CL.

If the specs and price comes out right, I will probably be selling my Integra for one of these. Really want something with AWD, and don't want to move up to MDX, as it's bigger than i need and more expensive than i want.
