I have a habit of looking on owner forums before I commit to buy a vehicle. So back in 2007 I was debating between buying a VW or Honda. The VW forum seemed to be full of small annoying problems that the Honda forum didn't have with their cars. I bought a Honda and it's been no problems.
I'm longing for a taller more luxurious vehicle and I noticed a nice 2007 Acura RDX Technology on a local car lot. I drove it and fell in love. Not sure I'm ready to buy just yet, but I'm learning a lot about it here and I want to thank you guys and gals for that.
The local Honda service guy also gave me some insight into the vehicle. He said I might like the MDX model more. He said the RDX's oil changes cost more because of the special oil required. I learned here about the premium fuel required, and the fuel economy.
Just purchased 2011 RDX base model w 20k miles for my wife. I have 06 mdx. This little bugger is one rough ride, I couldn't believe how rough it is. I thought something was wrong w the car, feel every little bump on the road, I hope I don't get hemorrhoids. had to test drive 2 others but apparently this is how they all ride. I love everything else about the car.

As above said, the riding is rough, but it's fun to drive with AWD. Michelin tires provides great grip but also noisy. This one is super reliable and hasn't had any problem so far these years. I saw in JD Power survey, RDX aces the dependability in its class, just like CRV did.
Just purchased a 2010 2wd w/tech, white with tan interior. (kind of wanted AWD, but not a single 2010-2012 AWD available in the state)
I see many remarking on how rough the ride is...I am coming from a Cobalt SS that has been lowered, so to me this thing is just the right about of firm.
I still love my Cobalt, but I've been driving one for over 8 years now and it was time for something a little more grown up. Combine the success my family has had with Hondas (bro has nearly 300k on a 1999 CRV and 150k on a 2008 CRV) and the value for the money you can find in a 1st gen RDX and it seemed like a no-brainer.
Coming from a 2004 Saturn Vue with the Honda V6 (and still going), all I can say is wow. Nice to sit in what I think is a unique car. Only 15K sold in 2011. Gas mileage is better than expected at 25.5 mpg with 200 miles on it so far. Mostly highway. Can't wait to learn all the bells and whistles with Navigation, etc.

Hi TailoredTL-S when you say high mileage on your 2007 RDX Base . . . how high? I am currently looking at purchasing a 2007 RDX base with 195XXX Km's on it for about $10,000 in Canada. My concern is over any major repairs that may be ahead.
I have had 4 Acuras in my life and love them and they have all gone for miles and miles. I sold two Integras at over 350,000km's and they are still driving.
If anyone has any thoughts on the RDX, it would would be appreciated.

So, after lurking on here for a while, I finally pulled the trigger on a 2011 RDX w/ Tech Package. Car is in an exeptionnal condition with only 53k km (33k miles). I absolutely wanted a black one with Tech package. I was sold on the black leather interio, but when I saw the Tan leather interior, I prefered it to the black one!
I already ordered a HID kit for the fogs and more will come soon.

First impression is we really love the car! The turbo is a lot of fun, and it handles surprisingly well for an SUV.
