I bought my RDX a month ago and couldn't be happier with it. Was going to buy an X3 but they seem to have transmission problems. Very pleased indeed with my choice. I just love to drive it.

However, I live in Boston. I would think that the RDX should sell well in Boston because its so stable in snow and not so big that its a pain in the city. But I have only ever seen one RDX TV commercial for the car and that was last Summer describing the GPS linked AC. I don't know what Acura's marketing strategy is, but I'm sure cars sell less well if you keep them a secret.

Hey I'm in Boston as well and I've actually seen a bunch of RDX commercials on TV. Maybe it's the different channels we're watching.

BTW, what dealership did you get your RDX from and what was the price you got (and what accessories)? I'm very seriously looking at the RDX and want to buy something within the next month.

I'm also in the Boston area, and see lots of RDX commercials. (..and if you're interested, I just got my RDX less than a month ago, and went to Herb Connelly in Framingham, MA. approx. 31800, (didn't get any accessories, non-tech). Bernardi's of Boston offered 31900.)

I have a CL-S (discountiued model) and I recently went to the dealership and the dealer told my the used CL's are a hot item because Acura doesn't offer anymore fun coupe's and people that have them keep them. He said people come in looking for them all the time.
With this said...if they do discontinue the RDX (which I doubt) if you guys like them and keep them they will be even more popular and won't hurt your resale value that bad. Like metioned before you already have one w/ a warranty...why stress about it?

rarely seeing it on the road is a GOOD THING. makes it even a better purchase rather than seeing urself 65 times a day like an accord or a civic. i like the fact not alotta people have this car. kinda like the RL, when you see one, its nice to see.

this whole thread started on someone saying a service guy said this car was history, o man. if the rdx is going anywhere.....its not happening any time soon unless it just proves top be a complete flop overall.

slowing sales is happening across the board in all markets, so its hard to jump to certain conclusions. the econ is in the dumpster and less people are buying less cars, especially in the lux market. certainly, mpg is a factor more than ever. thus, slow sales and or less sales you cant directly attribute to a model flopping so to speak, at least, not right now. people cant even pay their mtg and bills.

Wow it's amazing how people can live in the same city and get different experiences. I live in Rosdalindale and work in Watertown so I drive through the outer part of the city every day (cut through the BC Campus) and I see at least 2 or 3 RDXs all the time. I consider that a lot since they've only been out for 1.5 years.

That is a lot, yeah. In the three weeks I've had my RDX, I've only seen one other on the road as I was on Rt 3 up to NH.

I'm at Tewksbury and I see a few RDX everyday on my way to work and back home.
BTW, I'm on Rt.3 everyday, maybe the one that you saw was me .. hehe

Did you drive far to save $100? It really would have been more than that if you bought at Bernardi (Acura of Boston) their doc fee is criminal.

Driving time between the two dealerships from my house is about equal. The closest dealership to me is Sunnyside in Nashua, but they quoted me a price of about 32500. So really, I drove an extra 30 minutes to save almost $1000. The $100 just determined which direction I went.

However, I should also throw out the caveat that I work from home and therefore have no commute. So the only times I'm really out on the highway are at night after rush hour.

Not bad and certainly not bad enough to call the RDX a failure in the marketplace.

I found it interesting that even with high gas prices, the MDX was the best selling Acura for 2007, even over the TL.

Following up from before on MA questions...

Bought my RDX from Acura of Peabody. I liked the sales woman at Sunnyside - but I just couldnt negotiate a price at all with their finance person and they offered me a horribly low price for my trade in - so I had to walk out. Also they made it seem hard to get the color I wanted (black). Acura of Peabody was perfectly fine.

I too drive up and down Rte 3. Clearly the place for RDXs and will be tomorrow when it snows (again).

Still havent seen any recent RDX commercials on TV. I guess I must be the wrong demographic!

Mass owner as well...Are those prices you list 31,900 with tax, title, OTD type prices or are those extra?

omg so many proud rdx owners in the MA area. Even though the rdx is not mine (my mom's) but i was with her when she got it last summer. We went to Clair Acura in east walpole she paid about 33,150 including everything with the clear plastic that protects the front bumper and side mirrors (with warranty) and the wax tat keeps the car shiny at all time? (idk wat she was thinking but she heard shiny and wanted that) this is 07 model with tech pkg and i was able to negotiate all season floor mates with that. :P

claire is good dealership, altho their price is usually higher than surrounding dealers

for the sake of posting again, i got 31,100 (not including sales tax) on my 07 from first acura in seekonk. if ur in the the area, their first oil change is comped, and they hand wash & vac the car every service visit. i highly recommend them, always a loaner, will pick up and deliver your car, and dent/ding coverage for the first year or 2. also, lifetime drivetrain warranty if u service with them. (if ur a dealer-service person, you really cant beat that)

nothing....as long as u service the car with the dealership and follow the regular scheduled maintenance. some people dont follow all the recommended tune ups so thats a turn off, however, if ur like me and get ur car serviced at the dealer and do all the required stuff....you cant beat that coverage

Haha, i saw that too and i was actually pretty curious, but it does make sense. TL is in it's final year, so people are trying to hold out and see the new one first. Same with TSX and the RL isn't really pushing at all.

The RDX is good for new families, however bigger families will prefer the MDX,especially with the larger towing capacity.

And the MDX has that, along with it's second year out (or third?), so it's any bugs are probably gone.

The numbers don't surprise me, except for the one RSX sold in December 2007 and the two NSX's that were sold in all of 2007. Is it really possible that it takes two whole years to get a new car out of the lot?

those numbers are so low because they were discontinued...however from what i know they are designing a new sports car to replace the nsx
