Question for Canadians ordering US RDX accessories.
OK.. i'm about to spend about $1000 on RDX accessories from various Acura dealerships in the USA. It is ridiculous how much our Canadian based Acura dealers charge for the equivalent product.
Anyways, i've researched 2 dealerships... acura of Peoria and acura of Lynnwood.. both offer pretty good prices.
My question is the dreaded duty (if any) and other fees that I would need to look out for? I called Peoria and they said they usually ship via USPS which is pretty good and sure beats UPS calling you up wanting some bogus brokerage fee.
Also, i noted that some accessories are made in the USA so duty will not apply. I am also willing to ship to Point Roberts or Blaine, WA and drive down there to pickup.
Please describe your experiences if you apply to the above scenario.. and which dealerships would you recommend? I'm based in Vancouver, BC>
thanks!

I've ordered Acura parts from Sons Acura in Georgia. They offer some really nice discounts. Talk to Shawn, he works in the parts dept.

You're better off going thru the Blaine border. The people at the Point Roberts border are always on a power trip. Especially if you get guys, they always put on the I'm the authority crap. If you're lucky you'll get the girls and they're much nicer to deal with. You'll have to pay GST and PST regardless who you'll get. At least if you get a nice border guard she won't ask you any other crap other than how much you paid for it.
