Purchasing an 2010 RDX Friday, can anyone tell me of any major service at or over 100

Hey everyone!!
Brand new to all of this so hopefully I posted in the right place. I am purchasing a 2010 RDX with 95kmi on Friday, I have done a lot of reading and not seeing any major servicing at 100,000, am I missing something or am I good to go in that area?
Thanks a bunch ahead of time!!! ))))))))

100k km? That's about 60k miles so no, nothing major there. Just follow the maintenance schedule on the car and you'll be fine. Around 90-100k miles you'll probably want to look at transmission flush, spark plug change, brake fluid flush and coolant flush (car will call for the first two via maintenance minder). I believe brake fluid is supposed to be every 3 years regardless of mileage and coolant at 5 yrs / 150k miles, which ever comes first (check manual to be sure). May also consider a power steering fluid flush, but I don't think that's even called for in the manual. So if you don't have service records, consider all of the above. None of these items should be very expensive individually, so spread them out over a year to save $$$ if needed.

I would download the Acura RDX owner's manual to look it over: Owner's Manuals | 2010 Acura RDX | Acura Owners Site

That way you can test things during the test drive to make sure there won't be any surprises down the road. Maintenance wise, nothing really major until 100,000 miles. I did replace 5AT, Transfer case, engine oil, sh-awd, brake, wipers, air filter, and cabin filter just to start fresh when I purchased used. Waited on coolant (and did the power steering) when the M.I.D. called for it.

If it still has the OEM battery, I would get it checked out. Both my TSX and RDX OEM batteries failed with zero warning well before their time. Zero issues once I changed to interstate batteries.

HMMMM??? I traded in my 2010 back in Dec with 54,000 miles on her.

Tell me a little more about the RDX? (ie: color, options).

95kmi = 95,000 miles (14 oil changes at 7000mi/per)

If I was a buyer...

Look at all the fluids, belts, air filter to get an idea of how it was maintained. Look for signs of any fluid leaks.

I think you can have the dealer check the on board memory for service completion, and frequency.

Look at the service record in the owners manuals to see maintenance and repair records.

Was the proper oil used for every oil change? M1 dexos2

Test drive it - from stopped put you foot in it and feel the wheel for a tapping/thumping feel as you hit full boost in 2nd. Front output shafts have been noted to fail. (d/s frt on ours at 68k mi)

If it was not serviced properly I would not buy it.

If I bought it I would then change all the fluids.

How much $ are you paying for it?

I also have a 2010 but it's at 90000km = 56000mi.
Have new coolant thanks to a hole in the rad (new denso rad too)
Brakes checked recently and they are still good but had the brake fluid flushed.
Original battery replaced with an Interstate battery. It was necessary because the car would slowly drain and needed frequent boosting and charging.
AC vent mode select motor was crapping out (not blowing out front just floor and defrost) but it seems to be back working again after having a tech poke around at it.

Thanks and good to know. My ORIGINAL RDX battery (almost 8 years old) was flagged 2 years ago at the dealer as getting towards the end of its life. Well, two years later it starts up fine - even after I was just away for 2 months and the car sat untouched. The 900 pages of battery manifesto on these forums left me too bewildered. I just want to go exchange it for a decent new one when that day comes - I don't care about saving freakin' 5 dollars.

I'm also about to buy an RDX, 2008-2011. Surprised there is no "how to buy and what to check for" thread ????
