Performed transmission fluid service and rear differential service.
Thus far, at 90000 kms, I had the transmission fluid service and rear differential service done on the 2007 RDX.
I have the rear differential fluid service done annually, as the vehicle is driven in mountainous area daily (live in a mountaintop community).
Although the maintenance minder has not come up for a transmission service, but given that the RDX is driven on steep roads daily, thought I have it done earlier, just to be proactive in maintaining the vehicle.
Thus far, the maintenance on the RDX is pretty reasonable.
Per year:
Oil/filter change: 4 times @ $25.00 each, = $100
Rear differential fluid service: once a year (starting at year 2) @ $80.00
Cabin filter change: once a year @ $12.00
Air filter change: once every 2 years or 48,000 kms, @ $18.00
Transmission fluid service: done @ after 5 years, $100.00
Thus after 5 years, total maintenance cost = $500 + $320 + $50 + $36 + $100 = $1006.
or ~ $200 a year, which I think is reasonable for maintaining a vehicle.
Consider following the Acura recommended service schedule at a dealership, and you will be running up to $1000 a year easily (or more).
