Motorweek picks Best of 2008!

And the winner for best large Crossover SUV?

Saturn Outlook (and its twins, Buick Enclave and GMC Acadia)! In 2007 I bought both an 8-passenger, loaded Outlook XR and a 2008 RDX Tech. Love 'em both.

This award for the Outlook confirms my analysis (including road tests) at the time I made my purchase decision that it was a better vehicle than the Acura MDX. Glad I didn't waste extra cash.

The RDX didn't win it's category (Nissan Rogue won), but I still love it.

Motorweek is a JOKE...they picked a Sebring as best ragtop!?!?!?

They are incredibly biased towards American cars, as shown by their ridiculous picks.

But hey, enjoy your car named after a mail application. LMAO

I think the Sebring was intresting cause it had 3 choices for the top.

Plus they picked best car for 2008 was the Scion xB. I am a avid fan of motorweek.

I did find it rather amusing their list of "dream machines" included a Lexus LS 600H among an Audi R8 and a Bentley Continental GT.

I don't exactly consider any Lexus LS a dream machine, but then that's me.

Believe it or not, I had a deposit down on an LS600hL before canceling and getting an RDX (long story, don't ask...). It is an absolutely amazing vehicle and certainly qualifies as a dream machine in my book. Much moreso than an R8, to be sure.

Nissan Rogue??? THat thing is FUGLY!

THe Outlook may be a decent car, but I'll never buy an American made vehicle again after my past experiences! (sad to say!)

I'm a big fan of the Japanese. My RDX is my second car from the Land of the Rising Sun. But I grew up buying Chevys since I was a teen and loved them. That doesn't mean I'd buy any American car or any GM product. I have no brand loyalty, including to the Japanese brands. I'll buy any brand if they have a vehicle that "turns me on" as the Cadillac commercial says. However, the following brands I would never, ever consider (listed in order of dislike):

1. Ford
2. Izuzu
3. Mitsubishi
4. Suzuki
5. Mazda
6. GMC
7. Mercury
8. Buick
9. Saab
10. Toyota

Oh I think the LS is a great car I drove a 1990 LS with 100 and some odd miles on it and it was a fantastic car.
