Car Shakes/Hesitates During Highway Driving

Hello,

I have a 2008 RDX AT. The car has over 105K miles on it, and recently has started shaking/jerking for a split second while on the highway, usually while trying to accelerate. It's a noticable shake throughout the car, and I haven't noticed it during city driving.

I'm going to schedule a service appointment, but in the interim wanted to see if anyone else has expereinced and possible resolutions.

Thanks!
Matt

Bad transmission pressure switch? Hmmm. Could be a lot of things.

Yep....could even be a tank of bad gas.

Might also look into changing the spark plugs if they haven't been done yet. Some have gone longer on plugs, but at 105k they're getting up there in age and could be causing misfire issues under heavy throttle.

First thing to do is check your air filter, then spark. Throwing any codes? Could be a bad TPS as well.
