Pics

...so yes, as i'm local I went over to see Mr. Heeltoe himself this weekend.

Let me start by saying that I am so much more than satisfied with the look, sound, and fit of the exhaust, not to mention the quality service I received from Marcus.

Here's a few pics of the unit.

As you can see, the materials look very good right out of the box. LOVE the finish on it.

Here you can see it all bolted up underneath. Everything is tucked neatly right where it should be. No fitment issues or adjustments needed at all.

Close view of the tip spaced neatly up to the bumper. Again, this fits very well!

An angled view down low:

Top angle. Sits nice IMO.

And here's the mug shot and profile.

The exhaust adds a nice depth to the tone. It does give it a nice growl/rumble, yet there is NO drone or excessive cruising noise whatsoever!

No angry wives with this mod.

I'd highly reccomend this unit if anyone out there is on the fence.

I also got an intake mainifold gasket/heatshield done by Marcus while I was there (Heeltoe had the gasket in stock!!), and the ETS intercooler.

The gasket looks to be a very worthwhile investment, particularly since I travel to the desert fairly regularly (Dry, 100-110+, and high elevation to boot). I'll try and upload a pic of the differences in the gaskets.

The car feels very...awake. Very healthy. It can breath. Pulls strong, like on a cool winter night.

Once again. EXTREMELY satisfied with the ATLP exhaust in all aspects.

I've had experience with HKS Ca Ti, Greddy, Sebring in the past. ATLP Quality is 2nd to none...and the finish is just as good or nicer than those I mentioned.

Looks good, BH! Can't go wrong with dual-walled slash-cut tips. Piping is 2.5" right?

I've seen the stock intake manifold gasket, which is multi-layered steel. Anything but steel sounds good. Pics of the intake mainifold gasket/heatshield please!

We should meet up sometime.

Thanks Carlos for the great reply!

I am all about this gasket install guys. I banged it out pretty fast so it is a no-headache mod for us.

The exhaust looks great, all. The ECU work will be first for me, but I'll be interested in the next go around. Congrats on a nice product.

I am going to try and keep some in stock from now on. We have 2 systems right now for the 07-09, one of which is pending sold. We have 2 systems as well with no tips, waiting for a local 10-12 to come by for some testing of new tip designs. When we get one we will start working on a downpipe as well.

OK HERE GOES NOTHING. I am not really knowledgeable about repairs and mechanics. I have some questions on this system.

1) I am first wondering can I get it shipped to Canada, specifically Newfoundland.

2) I have a 2007 stock RDX. Was thinking about adding this system and the K&N air filter. From what I read I should see no compatibility issues.

3) What is the cost of the exhaust system.

4) Can most mechanics, or myself, install this relatively easily.

5) What can I expect in performance gains realistically.

Thank you. I am quite interested in this upgrade

1) Yes, you can. You should be able to get a shipping cost online.
2) Correct.
3) See it here: http://www.heeltoeauto.com/atlp-cat-...acura-rdx.html
4) Yes
5) I would say 10-15 hp at least.

You can get pricing in the checkout area on the site. We actually ran out but will be shipping more in a couple months.

I really don't mind waiting. I was more concerned with if it was still being made. Did you have to pay in full or just a deposit?

Yes the only thing preventing this kit from being produced again immediately is we need some more backorders. Really 3-4 would do it.

I see. In that case I rather buy the intercooler and reflash for now. I won't sit on the money waiting for three more people to take interest. In any case I'll add my name to the list. I should have the money by the time you guys have enough people to fab them.

how easy is this of a DIY?

I perform my own fluid changes, painted my calipers (front & back), changed to CP-E cold air, and changed to an ETS TMIC.

What i couldn't do myself is change the intake heat shield gasket.

Given what i have done myself, is my skill level adequate enough to change out the exhaust myself?

great news, just add yourself to the group buy list here and let heeltoe know that you want to place your order, as far as the price goes that will stay the same, we just need enough buyers to make them justify production.

I'd be much happier with 4-5. We are planning to produce this kit in the next few weeks regardless.
