Anyone with sunvisor issues?

Now both of my sun visors will not stay in place anymore. It started with the passenger side less than a year ago and now the driver side won't stay in place any longer and both need replacement.

Yes this happens. It seems that the plastic gets brittle over time and the hinges break out. I've replaced both already on my '08.

My driver's visor droops a little. Not terrible, but just enough to where it sometimes rattles a bit. There's also what appears to be a coffee stain on it from the previous owner, so I'll probably just replace it soon anyway. It's a blemish on an otherwise perfect interior.

Hello, my sunvisor is broken too. Can i ask how much it cost you to replace it? And did you do it yourself or have the dealer do it?

That's way cheaper than I thought. Is that through E-bay or one of the Acura OEM parts sites?

And if E-bay or similar, is it still an OEM quality part or is there a noticeable difference between the two?

Just $47 each? I called my dealer and wholesale was $57 each. Either case that is still quite inexpensive as I originally thought that with a lighted mirror, they would be closer to $100 each. I had them both replaced. You simply unscrew, unclip connector and install new one. My passenger side started to droop about a year ago and the drive side just failed last week. Weird that the side that gets used the least was the first to go. This is the only vehicle where I ever had to replace the visors.

Took the old one apart and the plastic that holds the rod is cracked. At least I could salvage the mirror and keep it in my desk at work.

http://www.acurapartswarehouse.com/

or

I repaired them using JB Weld epoxy on the cracked plastic that holds in the hinge in place. The plastic get brittle over time due to heat etc and then the hinge just breaks out. The repair lasts for a few months before it breaks out again. By that time I've got the new one sitting awaiting for installation

The quality of the interior is not that great. I replaced my sunvisors. The perforated portion of my door trim panels are lifting/bubbling. The pleather on my center console is lifting/bubbling.

I'm experiencing this issue as well... only on my driver's side at the moment. For about $50 and 20 minutes,, I need to stop putting this off and switch them both out.

As far as other people complaining about the quality of the interior... Its an entry-level Luxury SUV, what do you expect for the price? Mercedes quality? They put the loney elsewhere. The interior is actually wonderful just some of the material, the "pleather" in particular, is anlittle sub-par. And actually it can be remedied quite easily and fairly inexpensively. I purchased and installed REAL LEATHER replacements for my center console arm rest, door arm rests and other inserts on ebay. And when I installed the new leather pieces I used thicker padding for better feel. My interior is AMAZING now. The RDX is my wifes car, I drive an '08 TL, both have Tech pkgs. I wasnt a huge fan of her interior in comparison to mine till we did the installation of the Real Leather pieces.

^I always thought that Acura was the high-end version of Honda like Lexus is to Toyota and Infiniti is to Nissan?

There was a time when Japanese luxury slotted firmly below German luxury. In recent years Lexus and Infinity have been pushing themselves upmarket and allowing Toyota and Nissan to fill the "premium" gap with higher trim levels of their mainstream stuff (plus cars like the Maxima, Avalon, etc). Honda is a little behind the curve in that regard, with Acura still slotted below the Germans, but above the best Honda has to offer. I'm sure we'll see that change over the next generation or so of their vehicles - the RLX is really a push in that direction.

Just changed my out on the driver side about a week ago. You just need a screw driver and 10 minutes to change out. Used the www.AcuraOEM Parts.com site for the 83280-STK-A01ZA, SUNVISOR ASSY., L. *NH220L*, $46.33 +$7 shipping+$3.95 handling charge for $57.28 total. It is a touch darker for my taupe interior; but, not enough for anyone to notice (maybe my taupe interior is slightly faded after +7 years).
