Another Carbon Bronze question

Hi everyone, Abou to do the deal and have been reading all about the Carbon Bronze pearl I am a little nervous that the color will be too brown for me and after scanning the forum i have seen some references to the CBP being a little like baby poop in some light. I dont want a brown car, but to me the CBP looks more dark grey than brown. What do you all think? Will i regret CBP if i dont want any brown? It looks so nice at the showroom! Help me decide please

I like the Carbon Bronze. It's a pearl paint, so it takes on different colors in different light. In my garage it's very "Carbon", but in bright afternoon sunlight it's very "Bronze". The beauty of it is that the entire car isn't hit by sunlight all the time, so part of it will seem sparkly "Bronze" and the other part will seem "Carbon". It's a very dynamic and pleasing brown, too. And it looks great with a taupe interior!

Carbon Bronze is not brown, it is bronze.

The best color they have made.

Just celebrated my 1 year of ownership on Feb 2nd, I have a CBP and have never had anyone tell me any thing bad about the color, they mostly compliment how it changes colors constantly with different light, looks tan then carbon. I was going to go with the CGP when I went to buy but when I seen them side by side I chose the CBP, just looked so much nicer IMHO. On a side note I also think that it hids the daily dust better then most colors. Thanks

I had the same concern. I looked at the Polished Metal and almost went for it but in the end, I thought the CBP looked more elegant. I have ZERO regrets. It makes my Pewter Mercedes look cheap by comparison.

I got a 2008 black with tech in August 07. It's really nice IF the car is clean and not under the sun. If I have the choice again, I would go for silver or pearl white. As for the brown, I have seen it on the road couple times, it's nice but I can't picture myself owning a brown car (that's just me). Black is just too easy to collect dust and VERY noticeable. Good luck and have fun with your purchase.

I went in thinking we were going to get the CGP but the wife liked the CBP/Taupe much more and I'm glad after all was said and done I listened to her. Totally started to dig the color as I followed her home on a very sunny day that involved some pretty shady areas that showed the color shifting effects very well.

well you won't see as many of the CBP as you would the CGP, b/c that is the most popular color. (See the sign in thread, shows the colors bought) The CGP changes color from a greenish grey to a blueish grey b/c of the pearlesence. Not made anymore & many said they don't like the newer replacement Polished metal color as much, some do. The CBP doesn't have a brown color to it??? Looks like it to me & everyone I talked to at the dealer refered to it as a "coco type brown" to it!
Well, to each their own. The RDX does look great in all the colors....I just wish they did the Black Cherry Met. like on the MDX, that would look AWESOME!!!

PS. From a dictionary..."A moderate yellowish to olive brown color" (description of bronze)

I guess I'm lucky I live in cloudy/rainy Seattle because my CBP doesn't look like poop - although I have yet to see it in sunshine

Yeah, sweet wheels RDXControl!

I think the CBP is a great color. Lost me on the baby poop thing, I'm not seeing that. I nearly got CBP but went with classic black instead. One year into it, love it.

Wink once you go white you never go back

Nothing stands out like White diamond pearl. It has to be the sportiest color the RDX comes in. What Acura should really do is make the RDX in Electric Blue (like the old civic si's) That would be fantabulous.

Had the RDX in for service today, and they gave me an 08 RDX CBP loaner, and I have to say, it is a very beautiful color. I like it very much!

My Carbon Bronze RDX looks more Carbon (gray) color then Bronze. If your Carbon Bronze RDX looks like the color of your baby's poop, you have a very sick baby, seek a pediatrician immediately!

I've always thought the opposite, that in cloudy/rainy weather my CBP looks more browinish, and in bright sun it looks more grey.

I have never had anything but positive comments about the color. People are like "what COLOR is that?" in a very positive tone. And it is different than the 100000000000000 grey/silver/black cars on the road. I swear if I see another grey 335 or silver Mercedes anything I am going to puke.
