2014 MDX Wheels fit 2008 RDX?

Hi Guys,

Found some MDX 18" wheels which are 5x114.3, 18x8 so I know the bolt pattern is fine, but it looks like the offset is et55

Will the offset be an issue? I know some larger RDX rims from this gen were offset of et50.

Thanks!

Any chance you can test fit them ? That'd be the most definitive way of finding out.

Unfortunately there's no tires on the rims and it's -5 celsius outside, so test fitting is a bit tough.

I know the 19" rdx rims are offset of et50 but not sure if that extra little bit will make a difference

Are you sure the MDX wheels are 5x114.3? I know that my 2G 2007-2013 MDX wheels are 5X120, I think I read they changed to 5x114.3 in the 3G 2014+ MDX but just pointing out for your to make sure because I am not so sure.

Yes, they are off a 2014 which are the 5x114.3 the owner actually bought them for his 2017 but they changed back to 5x120 for the new gen MDX!

Thanks!

That is really strange, I wonder why the hell they felt the need to swap back and forth like that. Maybe has to do with installing wider vs narrower tires?

In regards to your question, we had a thread in the 1G RDX section where people were putting all kinds of different aftermarket wheels. I suggest you go onto that thread and see if anyone has/had(1G members are sadly mostly long gone with a few noble ones left) similar offset wheels on theirs.

Thanks! I took a look at the thread and have now decided that I will use the stockers for winter rims and get some summer rims instead. Some nice looking RDX's in there! haha

Nice! Man I wish I was around and had the RDX around the time of those threads. The 1G RDX forum was alive and prospering lol, now mostly everyone has sadly moved on and those remaining no longer visit as much.

I had a 2007 RDX Tech and it was by far my favourite vehicle I have ever owned. I still sorely miss it. The turbo coming online when I mashed the pedal while crusing was the best feeling ever.
