This RDX is actually pretty fucking cool and I love that you're keeping up on it with that kinda mileage. I actually felt like
the car had balls and they went backward with every iteration since they dumped the turbo version (pardon me but assuming
yours is that one). I also think it looks like a Raven or a mean looking bird that isn't like other goofy and cute CUV out there.
Nice choice...
why not dump the other piece of shit and just throw whatever money you get at some more maintenance on this baby?

LOL!

I never even saw the turd comment! But thanks, and I completely aggree with you!

However, I need two vehicles because the RDX and Optima live in two different states. I use the Optima on weekends and the RDX on some weekdays, like today.

The RDX goes back for her to bring to work and I just keep the Optima with me.

Don't get me wrong... The Optima is such a nice car, but dammit, I just can't enjoy it.

It has no soul, brother...
almost no newer cars do.
I know that sound ridiculous but there's no character or soul in them.
they don't make you feel anything when you drive them. they just get
you where you're going.

I know! That's why I love my RDX and a lot of older cars!

Whatever I replace the Optima with will definitely be older. Probably 2005-2009.

I've really got my heart set on the IS though, because it's very quiet and drives small.

I really want a 350, but no one bought them new down here. I see 2G IS's all of the time, but maybe one 350, for every 25+ 250's I see. As a result, they are few and far between and usually overpriced!

My other co-worker had the 250 and was still pretty fast and better on gas.

The Optima was slightly faster than the 2012 IS250 AWD I drove. The 250 sounds so good! Almost like the TL but smoother and no vtec!

Not much torque between 2-4K rpm, sadly!

I'd mainly just focus on keeping the carbon blown out!

I noticed how it's so comfortable and tight at the same time.

The only comfort issue I had is that the seat didn't move up enough under my thighs.... But than can be easily fixed with a seat riser or washers.

It also sits a lot higher than the TL. That, combined with a small rocker panel means very easy entery/exit.

Bottom line... The IS is what I hoped my TL would've been!

So it appears my A/C started working again the other night. Will be bringing it up to my dealer next Wednesday to see about that A/C issue and address service A1236.

The dealer that would rob you blind is where you get standard service and ask about issues on a car out of warranty?
You are nuts AF, MM.

My dealer is very honest with me and generally I have to ask them to do something beyond what is absolutely necessary... In fact, the only time they were really pushing to get me to fix something was when the water pump was knocking last year... He just wanted to make sure we wouldn't get stranded!

They have always worked with me on labor and always give us a 20% loyalty discount on oil changes!

Now, the Acura dealer closer to where we live IS shit and WILL rob the HELL out of me if I even go near there!

What the fuck? I've been going there since I got the RDX and know everyone on a first name basis!

It's basically the only reason I have to go to my former town anyway and probably the main reason I want to stick with Hondas despite preferring a Lexus.

Got my oil changed as well as the transmission fluid, front transfer case fluid and rear differential fluid... Also had the A/C checked but no issues could be found... Rear tires need replacement very soon (showing wires/cupping) and otherwise all is good!

Had my corroded battery terminal replaced free of charge... Today's total was about $270 (she gave us a 10% discount off of everything)! Took 3 hours!

After I got out of there, I went to Jacktown! Will be heading back down the 200 miles soon!

They just like us... Been there over 30 times for service!

I have an appointment in a few hours for having the oil change, A/C inspected and have that battery terminal changed....

In fact, waiting on AAA to get here to clean it because it's dead in the parking lot right now and I can't get to my tools.

He cleaned the terminals, tested the battery. No luck.

Had to have it towed to a local Honda dealer I've never been to, cancel my current appointment at my dealer three hours away and reschedule it for next week, and waiting to have it diagnosed. We're thinking it's the starter relay.

Anyway, I still have to do the three hour drive for another appointment I have.

Then, get tires and A/C diagnosed next week.

Then the following week, have the A/C clutch (probably) replaced.

On the road a lot but not currently.

Nothing has been found to be wrong... Everything has been checked and operates within spec.

She's like, IDK what's wrong, it's operating perfectly.

She thinks the battery has a bad cell, but the symptoms don't align.

I'm thinking chassis ground or ecu or something.

A/C started working again after a week.

It came on, then I had to manually kick the compressor back on via dash switch... After a 1/2 hour or so, working as usual...

How dafaq do I diagnose this?

I still have a CEL that came on yesterday gor the tranny range sensor, it happens occasionally...

I'm thinking it's either a main ground or computer not sending a signal when necessary...

Wes, get ahold of yourself.
No need for 5 posts in a row like that in the edit window.
I don't understand the problem, nor the solution, nor about anything you wrote in the last
few hours.
What I do know is if you rely on dealers and aaa drivers to do the troubleshooting for you,
you will end up broke. and alone.
