Loving the new colors, especially the blue one. And the interior looks incredible.

One of each, please. Acura has really hit this one out of the park.

princelybug 08-16-2015 09:03 PM

Blue is best.

Drei 08-18-2015 04:48 PM

I really want that steering wheel design to trickle down to the rest of the Acura lineup!!! So sporty! :D

justnspace 08-18-2015 06:18 PM

Doesnt matter. NSX is delayed once again.

JM2010 SH-AWD 08-18-2015 06:28 PM

It's a few months. The delay doesn't matter. This is a breakthrough car.

its 6 months. and yes, it is a big deal, because they have pushed this car back time and time again.

the latest news is that they had to change the engine layout.
that's a big change!

justnspace 08-19-2015 07:29 AM

Honda has decided to use a Cosworth block and heads.

JM2010 SH-AWD 08-19-2015 02:08 PM

The engine layout change is old, old news. They went from an east-west to north-south orientation some time ago. My understanding is that the recent delay has to do with marketing channels, getting dealers trained on service/repair and so on. In my mind, a few months extra doesn't matter for a car that will likely do the market what the original NSX did in the 90s. Especially if it means the difference between doing it right and doing it sorta right.

justnspace 08-19-2015 02:30 PM

All recent articles dated August 14-17th say otherwise.

Acura NSX Starting Production Next Spring, Arriving As 2017 Model

this says the decision to add turbochargers is what is causing the delay.

so, it went from a 2016 release date to a 2017 release. and it might not even debut then either....with all the pushbacks

justnspace 08-19-2015 02:34 PM

we've waited almost a decade.

If Acura hasn't been preemptively training dealers and covering marketing over the last 6 months, then there is something fundamentally wrong with them.

"Well, the car is ready to go out for sale! Congrats!"

"Wait, we never trained anybody on this thing yet.. And our marketing is still in the beginning phases!"

"Jesus fuck!!! Put the brakes on the whole fucking project!!!"

Wasn't it originally slated for the end of 2015? Pretty sure it was. My God...

JM2010 SH-AWD 08-19-2015 05:27 PM

I don't like the delay either, but if it's good as it looks so far when it arrives, I don't think it will much matter.

RLX-Sport Hybrid 08-22-2015 07:19 AM

Love the blue! Great lines!

holografique 08-22-2015 11:19 AM

I know right?! The lines in the design really come through strong (and gorgeously) in the blue one. And I'm not one for colors as just about every car I've owned to date has been black. But man does the design really come through strong in the blue one.

I'm hoping to see more of that type of styling trickle down to the rest of the lineup :)

Hope you're feeling better amigo.

Tonyware 08-25-2015 12:41 PM

Can anyone photo shop an "Imola Orange" please ? Like the colour of Michelle's leather jacket in another thread here.

PS. The new R8 dash instruments already rendered the new NSX interior obsolete! Oh the horror! LOL!!!

LOL it wont arrive.

hope you were aware of the chinese stock market crash.

:toocool::thumbsup:

TacoBello 08-25-2015 12:52 PM

You also forgot to mention the market anomaly occurring out on Pluto. Honda is worried about that too and as such, will cut the NSX program. :tomato:

justnspace 08-25-2015 12:55 PM

Good, I get a little while longer to try and win the mega millions so I can buy this bad boy.

JM2010 SH-AWD 08-27-2015 04:18 PM

I'll take the bet on it not arriving. As I understand it, production numbers will be low, so even with China, we're not talking about thousands of cars. As another posted suggested, more time to win the lottery so we can snap one up when they're released.

imj0257 09-02-2015 09:57 AM

Love the blue. And red. And black.
