great website for amazing japanese parts:

i was bored the other day and started dreaming:NSX!!

i found www.gt-rom.net.

they have some pretty nice stuff i've never seen before for the NSX...some is a bite Ricey, but some is very tasteful so i thought i would share. everything is priced in Yen of course and doing some of the conversions were really interesting.

the main part i enjoyed was the exhausts i later found on youtube.com

check out this video: the NSX VTEC V6 sounds like V12...amazing.

From what I've read on NSX-Prime, www.gt-rom.net hasn't been shipping any parts to the US. Some people on NSX-Prime have ordered parts but never got them and have been unable to contact www.gt-rom.net. I've also heard that they went out of business, even though their website is still up and taking orders.

There are tons of vids of various gt-rom exhausts on youtube. My fav is the v5.1. Unfortunately, they are very hard to find one to buy.

I don't know about you guys, but I find it extremely insane to spend 3k+ on a CAT BACK exhaust, with little to none performance gains....But sounds nice.

Yeah, that exaust note can be had for under $1K. My good friend had his exhaust built with Burns Stainless mufflers and SS piping for about $800 and it sounds at least as good as the vid...plus it picked up 12lb/ft in the midrange.

You are correct. The V5.1 Ti was down about 3 RWHP above 7K RPM as compared to the GTLW during an exhaust test at Driving Ambition (Shad Huntley - Mr. Comptech). And this was on a SC'd '02 NSX.

On my SC'd '05 NSX, I can certainly live with a slight power loss on the top end in exchange for an incredible exhaust note. Ever time I drive my car, I find myself searching for under passes and tunnels.

The V5.1 Ti weighed in at 14LBS on Driving Ambition's scales as compared to 19 LBS for the GTLW (DISCLAIMER - each scale may differ, but the weight difference should be close to the same).
