Engine is revealed!
"Honda reveals the 2015 NSX's powertrain, and it's now longitudinal! Twin-turbo direct injection V6 with dual-clutch transmission, rear electric motor and twin front electric motors."

Anyone else notice it's DOHC with an internal timing chain? Is this not a J?

what kind of HP / torque figures do we think it will make just with the V6?
cars like the GTR are making over 500 hp from a twin turbo V6 alone... if Honda even comes close to that figure and THEN adds electric motors..the thing will frickin' scream!
I really hope Acura/Honda hits the ball out of the park with the NSX... my fear is that they are trying too hard to make it an exotic car that also gets good mpg... so they are going to not make the gas engine crank out mega power..and will try to make up the differnce with the electric motors... the end result could be so-so performance and the car will get spanked by the 911, GT-R, R8, etc.. and no one will spend the money for it...
if it is a true supercar at Acura pricing.. it will be a big hit.

The local Acura dealership is owned by a young man who currently has the last production year NSX and will be getting the new one as soon as it is available. I am anxious to check it out.

You guys keep confusing that the electric motors are for MPGs. They are using the motors for extra torque and power as well as torque vectoring. I am sure Honda/Acura will give the GTR a run for its money. Klaus said that the GTR & 458 are the targets. I hope the new NSX will feel as connected to the driver as the original and less like the GTR.
