1992 NSX 44kmiles high clutch pedal engagement?
Hey guys. I recently test drove 92 nsx with 44k miles. I noticed the clutch pedal doesn't engage low. For me it engaged almost when the clutch pedal is all the way out. Is this normal for stock clutch, pedal engagement? Is it adjustable? Is this a sign of the clutch needed replacement? The car drove fine and I noticed no slipping while driving. Just letting the clutch out in first gear.

The NSX has a high clutch engagement. It took me a little bit to get use to especially with Heel-toe downshifts. Its also a little stiffer than most stock OEM clutches. It is normal. Just make sure your transmission is not in the Snapring range and its up to date on maintenance.

drsides, Ghost is right. It's hard to predict how Ins. companies assign a value. What I have always done (when buying a used car) is to RESEARCH Autotrader, Cars.com - check several, to see what they are ASKING.
This is a good way to educate yourself on values of your specific model. Takes a week or so to get a feel of VALUE, and remember the price is just what they are "asking" Good luck, but in my experience, insurance companies will screw you every chance they get ! B |
