Worn Brakes?

Whenever I reverse you can hear a grinding noise coming from my rear wheel on the right side. The sound is really loud and can be heard miles away. Also whenever i drive normally and go over little bumps, you can hear a jingling (like a bell) kinda sound coming from the same place. Also, my brakes have been squeaking for the past 3 months. The jingling started a week ago and the grinding a few days after. I have been neglecting my car for the past two months because i have been working at a new job and never found free time.

My question is...

Can the cause for all these sounds be my worn brake pads? Why would it be making three different sounds?

I hear that the grinding noise means that your rotors are getting ruined.

Any recommendations on some good brake pads or even rotors?

I'd pull off the wheel and look behind the rotor and see if something is stuck between it and the dust shield or if the shield is just bent. You will be able to see if the pads are worn and scoring the rotor as well when you have it off.

the squeaking you've been hearing is probably the wear indicator on your pads which means that they are pretty low. Check your rotors for excessive wear because you could have metal to metal contact, which is not good. I i was you i would definitly take a look and visually inspect how much of the pad is left. If it looks reallly low you should get new pads on asap.

Yeah people keep giving me dirty looks because my brakes are so loud. They make noises even when I'm not braking. Getting the problem solved right now.
