bottle of gum? i will have to google that.

stopped by the shop yesterday, ive decided to pull my car from there and hand it to another shop to finish. since its in pieces i cant pick it up on the trailer till mid next week. the new shop will only be fixing my wiring and install the bbk plus over look the torque specs on the suspension components. although i would like to say im upset having to do this, im actually not and feel relieved instead. new shop says they will finish it in a day. i will be driving that bitch like it was stolen by late next week.

The brake company are handling it as fast as they can. I'll hear the final verdict soon as to whether it was the wrong bracket or the caliper.

I went ahead and ordered a diffuser from warhorse performance. Ships out in a week. It's not made car specific, so there will be some work involved.

I haven't forgotten about your text. Just waiting on a reply from youngone. If he is still selling his bare j32 block bored to 90mm, I'm going to swoop on that, and then we can talk about me shipping the j35 bottom end to you.

Calm down Chris, everything will work out in the end. The car is coming along beautifully, these things take time. You're basically pioneering a brake setup for the CL so when guys like Arber and I need to order them we just order what you did lol.

And at least you've got progress, some of us have major hold ups lol.

I realized an error was made on my behalf. After researching the battery I just bought I learned that its nothing more than a rebadge for another company. If you would like to pick one up for about 1/3 the cost here is a direct link.

http://www.techbatterysolutions.com/...7827_a_7cETX14

Here are the two links that provide the info on how the deka etx14 is the same as the carbon lightweight from braille.

So I've still got gremlins in my engine. I had mentioned before the cars stalls occasionally and I should check the TPS and MAF, cleaned them up, cleaned the throttle body out(seafoam). same exact thing, tried replacing my battery terminals, cleaning the grounds and checking the fuses. no change.

Still does it. Here's the scary part, I don't recall if it was doing it before but I can be going 45mph and all of a sudden NOTHING, no electrical power at all. Which confuses me because I'd doubt the alternator and battery just decided to fail each other, anyone know of something that could do this. It just doesn't sound evap to me. I had it stall last night at a gas station in park, this time it kept power however. I should obviously take it to a mechanic but money. The no power deal, really stumps me.

edit; I've had a thought, transmission? I'm not sure but I was having trouble shifting out of park on cold days last year and I guess I'm wondering if there could be a fail safe that could cause total loss of electronics.

Polyurethane engine mounts for ... $10 ..not pretty but it works

I decided to do them last night to help the motor put power to the ground better & I loved how they felt the last time I did it. Only did the front/driver side since I can't do em all at once & the rear is a whore to get off. But of course there's always something up with teh CL... The front engine mount (one on the right) turned out to be broken so it was real convenient that I decided to randomly do my mounts, funny how things work..

Something similar to this happened to my brothers 03' accord 5spd.. I was driving it, all was good and normal but randomly it would lose power & completely shut off which is sketchy as fuck on the highway to say the least. Weird thing about it was that it would shut off for only like 3-5 seconds & turn right back on like nothing happen. It did this on/off for months but I remember one time it did it like 15 times on a 30km drive, beyond annoying.

I don't think this is exactly what's happening to you but its sounds familiar. I ended up replacing the battery/alternator & to this day it hasn't done it since, so it was one or the other. Hope that helps..

When the alternator fails to recharge the battery your car will shut off its electronics to use the battery power to run the engines control units (pcm/ecu, the stuff that keeps the car running).

You might have a month max since the beginning of the symptoms. I've had personal experience in my 3.0 as well when the alternator stopped working and had basically the exact same symptoms.

I'd have the alternator tested at your local shop. Then go from there.

Thank you, I did an alternator replacement about 3yrs ago, but a rebuilt alternator, was trying to save money..... bingo. I'll check that out for sure. I forgot to mention sometimes it doesn't stall but the battery light flickers. Guessing the electronics in the alternator. She does start very strong, so that should rule out the battery.

Replaced my brake master cylinder and bled my system this weekend! Was fun, as I am trying to get my hands dirty and learn to work on my own car. Best part is I learned a bit about the effects of having the vacuum messed up by a struggling brake system! MY CAR HAS NEVER RUN BETTER, got it at 113k and at 155k it is better than ever! CL 4 LIFE!

Welp, again I've driven the CL into November, but it has started snowing here which means salt, so looks like the ack is going to get winterized and tucked in for the winter.
