Went a lil crazy on the CL today

Today i was driving to my boys house and i noticed i didnt hear my intake while i was under WOT that much, so when i got back home i checked it out. Turns out the filter came off the pipe, and the bracket holding it on had came off . This is the 3rd time thats happened w/this ill-fitting filter, so i fixed the bracket and shaved off some of the inside of the filter, making sure there were no particles in the filter itself once i was done to get sucked into the intake manifold. Success! the filter now fits nice and snug further on the pipe and is steady. Since i was already in the engine bay, i checked my oil. Seemed a lil bit low, so i put a quart in. As i was in autozone, i saw the carwash across the street n though "Why not, its a nice day" so i got a carwash too haha. While in the carwash, i saw some black vinyl tape, and i remembered Sean (H22 Euro R) telling me he did his eyelids w/tape, so i thought hey y not, a nice lil mod for under $2. Took my baby home n shined her up, then tried my luck at the eyelids which were easier than i thought, and adds a nice little accent to the front of the car. I didnt want them too big, just enough to give her an aggresive look. So i guess 1 thing snowballed into like 6, and she got the royal treatment today haha!

On another note, i realized i managed to drive over 1,200 miles in a week and half! 550 or so of those miles being highway miles back and forth from penn state. I drive too much haha. I guess thats what happens when you your CL

Nice man, Sunday was my pamper the 4Runner day, got new valve stems cuz my crappy metal caps rusted to the valve stems, couldn't put air in the tires, got the tires balanced and rotated, drives like a brand new truck. Took her home, vacuumed all the dog hair out, detailed the interior, washed and waxed it, and threw on a couple accent mods. Now, I just need to put the CL back together, wash and wax her and start drivin her again, it's too nice outside to have her sittin in the garage.

Hope you got all the salt off those rims, you take any pics of the freshly washed CL?

Heres some pics of the subtle eyelid mod that cost me a grand total of......$1.68 ! The 1st time i did it, the tape started to come off after a while cuz i had stretched it and was fixing the placement so it glue on the tape wasnt sticking, so i got some 3M adhesive spray out of my closet and redid it and voila! i like the way it looks for now, especially at night when my lights are on, then u can really tell the difference . i might get wider tape and make them lower later on, but it'll do for now.

and sitting under her canopy after a nice day of pampering

what do you think, or ?

Honestly 1 of the best things i did in my college career. Not only have i learned so much from being in a leadership position now, cuz everyone on campus looks up to you when you have letters, but ive gained a whole new international family. Ive been to orlando, vegas, miami, cali, and everytime ive met w/brothers that i hadn't even met yet they treated me like family, taking care of pretty much all my needs from housing to transportation. Take a deeper look into the FSU chapter, and look @ our national website n whatnot. Even if the chapter isnt that strong, that gives you the opportunity to make a differnce and make your mark as a predecesor, thats what my pledgeline did!

Besides, the purple looks pretty on my CL haha

So any other opinions on the eyelids?

that's more like it.

Do the eyelids provide any benefit? Do they limit the glare at night? They look good, i might consider doing that mod if it helps limit the glare.

Where did you get the lids?

As for light and glare benefits, id say its minimal. They line up the light projection to be a little lower from the top and more uniform for me, since i have silverstar bulbs and the light projection is everywhere due to the chrome casing. As for where i got em, i did it myself with these:

measured out the tape and the angle i wanted and cut accordingly, sprayed it w/ the adhesive cuz w/o it the eyelids will start to come off later on, and applied. It was fairly easy, took 20 mins tops.

Like the eyelids, they need to be a bit thicker IMO
