Strange noise coming from rear of car??

Strange noise coming from rear of car??



I am having a strange noise that is coming from the rear right side of my car. It isn't a constant noise so it makes me think it isn't the brakes grabbing the rotors. It is more of a squealing/grinding noise that is intermittent. It isn't noticeable upon acceleration from a standing start, but is present during normal driving and braking. Remember, the noise is

I was wondering if anyone else had this type of problem/noise with their cars, and should I take it to the dealer and try to reproduce the noise, or take it to a suspension specialist such as Midas or Meineke????

All thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated.

The noise is intermittent and not present all the time.

I'd guess its time for new brake pads. They have a "squeeler" on them to let you know they're about to eat into your rotors.

Open up the calipers & check the pads!
