Squeak in the air system?
Since I bought my 2.2CL in November, there has been a squeak in the air system. It sounds something like a strand of tinsel somewhere in the vents on the passenger side of the car. Anyone else hearing this?
I turn the fan up to 4 and it generally goes away so I can bring it back down to 2. It's not that big a deal, but sort of annoying. Any advice would be appreciated.

its something in the fan assembly... probably a pine needle or something. The fan can be dropped out of the heater plenum under the glove box, there are 3 bolts holding it in... you should find whats making the noise.

So i have a 98 2.3 and i have a whistle in my air system....drove me CRAZZZY!!! i thought it was coming from outside the car, would only do it when i was going above 30ish. Well i figured out that its my recirculate flap. When i turn recirculate off it goes away. There is a lot of air being forced through my vents when the fan is off...kinda weird but yeah...thought id share my dilemma!! merry christmas!
