I guess this is its eulogy, I took her to the yard 4 days or so ago.
Kinda cant believe I did it, but it just made financial sense. It's weird because no one else tried to suggest anything to the contrary. It was arguable running okay, I could have passed it off for $2k, but I would have felt horrible for the buyer and the car. So I just up and scrapped it, I'm not saying how much, but you know it was bad. I actually felt it was a better death. Go intact With Enkie wheels locked on her, running, and drove right up to the place. I'll admit I took her through 3 gears up 5900rpm, one last go. I cried all morning (well, on and off all week), my wife cried, my 6yr old son cried. I've given up on some great cars, but till now I never owned a car that held so many memories for so many people.
I received the car as a wedding gift(my camry exploded) and we went on honeymoon in her. Then me and my wife got into modding it, then going racing(Legally). I took my wife to the hospital to birth both my kids. In the time I had it, I had four jobs and lived in three different cities. She brought me home through no less than 6 blizzards, brought me upstate during hurricane Irene, on washed out roads even drove over a tree during hurricane Sandy.
I would go into what killed her, but the repair bill racked up to over $3k not including the slowly going trans, but she was always there for us. Never let us down and couldn't watch her rot or sell her to some asshole. I wouldn't even part it, I and I had offers.
Funny how some people just think they're just cars. 18yrs old, 16990mi original motor and trans, died from natural causes. This one of the last photos I took.
