shifter bushings

over in the 3g tl forums, theyve found some aluminum bushings for shift cable ends and they're supposed to make shifts more precise for $30. it looks like the part numbers for 3g tls and 1g cl 5mt match up on acuraautomotiveparts.org. here is the thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...9&page=1&pp=25

someone should try these out, id like to get them eventually. just thought id let you know, and someone may want to double check the part numbers to make sure that im correct

OK 6 months later, and i installed the shifter bushings from corport. Problem now is, i dont know if the company is still a AZine vendor.

BUt it took 15 mins to install and it made the gear box feel a LOT crisper.
aluminum > rubber

THe corsport kit includes 2 bushings, u will need to grease the 'shaft part' and installation is easy.

no grease is bad because, your replacing a ruber bushing with a metal one. sO its metal on metal contact. it shifts like shit withuot the grease.

I'm actually thinking of using these shifter bushings in conjunction with the P-Spec short shifter kit...what do you guys think? Will there be problems/disadvantages or will it be pointless using the shifter bushings with a short shifter? Has anyone done this yet? Any info or advice would be great. Thanks!
