I would test fit it. Because of the location of the Acura symbol on the back of the 1st gen CL, other emblems might not fit since the trunk comes to a point

The point and the 2 holes in the trunk will be your biggest obstacles.

AHH GOTHCA..

HMM i shouldn't even go through the trouble.. especially today i found out i need a new tension pulley.. making crazy.. and i have to clean out my IAC.. it showed the code p0505 yesterday.. i cleared it and it hasnt came back.. but im gonna clean it anyway..

thread jacking my own thread..!!!

also dude i did the projector retrofit also the orange corner lights+black housing, looks sick!!!

FOR ANYONE READING THIS DUPLICOLOR METALCASTE ORANGE IS THE BEST!! for corner lights, dont even hesitate to buy it .. its the closest thing to the corner lights WAY better to krylon.. goes on thin and very ssee through but the more you put on the darker it gets.. 3 coats gives you a little tint lighter than the original corner.. 4 coats you are a little bit above it.. i messed up on my right side so i sprayed 1 extra coat now my left side looks lighter.. but they still look overall better than stock..

WOOPS FORGOT THE PICS.. well i posted some in what did you do the cl thread the other day.. but here ya go..

on a side note if your doing the corner lights do them at the same time.. i originally did 3 coats with both.. but then i went back to fix the left one after i saw a little black mark on it.. big mistake cuase ended up having to spray another coat on.. when it was done it was little bit darker than the original lower corner lights, by the time it dried it was about the same color but significantly darker than the first one i had completed.. and now im too lady to pull apart the other one to darken it up.. but here some pics..

before i painted the car

after the paint job

I think the original badge would look better.

My front grill badge is actually from a 2003 BMW750. I vinyled over top of it white then i freehand cut out an Acura logo in carbon fiber vinyl. Then put paint protection film over the entire thing so it wouldn't get messed up.

Nice badge! Doesnt look bad at all. Im trying to get a 97 grille. Hate the way the 98-99 look... Im envious of your lights!...I Hate you! I really want some projectors but dont want to make them... Ive melted several lights in the oven taking them apart and my oven is pretty small...Good job!

LOL its funny how i started this thread and forgot all about it lol..

nice grill black ack.. yo i really need to get my hands on a 97 grill..

anyway i did get the tl badge.. the second notch was too wide to fit in the second slot.. so i just broke it off placed one in and put double sided tape..

the overall appearance makes the car look wider.. the trunk area does look smaller though but the car over all looks bigger.. just finishing washing the car will get pics of it after i finish eating.

it was the 2010 model.. all of them share the same badge serial number so i dont think it matters the year in that model..

also i was thinking the ilx one might work as well.. but not too sure

I'm honestly not in a place to take on this job, I did this retro like 8 or 9 years ago, and have been working 70+ hours a week and hardly have time to work on either of my cars or projects. Thank you for the compliments
