OBX Muffler Question

I'm looking to buy an OBX universal muffler, and was wondering if the inlet size would matter all that much. The muffler's inlet size is a 2.5" which i think is rather large for my 2.3 CL. I was wondering if it's a big deal? Will the muffler still fit on my car? Any drawbacks? Any info would be great....thanks as always

i think the regular piping is 2.25'' i had exhaust on the car and i went to get it installed. the stock piping was too small so they just welded an intermedate pipe on.

the best thing to do would be to ask the muffler shop to make you a rear section out of 2.5'' pipe. it's only like 70 bucks to do it and that way you could always install your stock exhaust back on if you happen to get a work order for it.

You think an OBX universal muffler is worth it? Anybody know how it sounds?? I hate the cheesy obnoxious exhaust sound....would it gimmie that nice deep and soothing hum?

How much you gonna pay for this OBX muffler? If i were going universal, i would get one of Aerospeed's Bomb series mufflers...they look good, sound real good with the silencer removed and you get a 5-9 HP increase. Starting at $189.00.

Hell, you could probably do it yourself but if there is welding involved and such i would imagine about an hour's labor or so? Maybe $50 since its only a muffler.
