new guy
what's up guys I'm from charlotte, NC. just recently bought my CL two days ago for 1700 and I have to say she's a fixer-upper but I've got big plans. it currently needs a new front bumper, new speedo sensor, and o2 sensor. my plans are to CO drop it, put some wheels on it although I'm not sure how wide I can go before spacers are needed, front lip, and the possibly wrap parts in some white cf vinyl. its not my first "Honda" experience. I've owned a 06 accord which shared the same platform as the tsx. can't wait to start working on this car

Finally got pictures of the car (been lazy). Went over most of the damage and for the most part it looks like minor stuff. Just ordered new headlights (Depo blackhoused) which Im hoping should be in today, and I also got the parts list for the front bumper and fender assembly. Also, I've picked a color for when I wrap the car either next month or in December (Matte Gray), and Im going with white wheels but Im not sure on what brand I want yet.

Man those wheels make it look so 4x4. I'm glad you're looking at coils

Headlights came in today (Depo Blackhoused). Ill post up what one on the headlights looks like after I get it out.
No I wont be doing the wrap, a friend of mine does it and he just finished my roomates 350z. Its the only car like it in the world with urban digital camo.
I wont be able to get coils until after december.

So Im making some progress in getting all the parts i need for the car. Just picked up a replacement rear bumper for $75 but havent had any luck for a front bumper within a 200 mile distance of Charlotte, NC. But, I did find a great deal online for a reconditioned front cover for $115.
Im also pretty excited that my wheels come in hopefully Wednesday. I got the rare and discontinued DIP D78's 17X7 and will be mounting 205/40's. Not sure what I want to do with my wheels I currently have on there now, theyre pretty beat up

So, Ive decided to scrap the wrap idea for now so I can save for coilovers and possibly some new interior shtuff. As the car sits now the new wheels have been mounted and im just waiting on my front bumper to get here.
Im sitting on 17X7 DIP D78's, a wheel that is not longer in production, and combined with Nexen N5000's 205/40/17. The tires are great and theyre unbelievably quiet and smooth.
As for the interior ideas, I came across some black leather racing seats for a pretty good deal.
Im also in the process of getting some matte white vinyl from a friend and ill be wrapping all the wood grain accents and maybe other shtuff if i get bored or have enough left. I went ahead a photoshopped what it could possibly look like after its completed.
As for more exterior "plans", I thought about getting a used yakima or thule basket for the roof of the car, one because I do transport a lot of shtuff, and secondly to hide some of the really bad dents. I was gonna have it powdercoated white with either some black or purple accents just like the wheels and lug nuts.

Did you find a bumper yet? I can't recall. I'd get that painted and mounted before a roof rack. And a drop, desperately needs a drop lol.

So turns out the bumper I "ordered" on the 2nd, was processed but when I called them today, they told me they had none in stock. Really wish they could've told me before and not waited till now (just my luck). So I went and ordered one from Acura. Ive had no luck finding reasonably price front bumpers for these cars.
F&F type I's have been ordered from Roebear Racing for $560 and should be here in the next week or so.
Also, I got the wrap for the interior, and might be picking up some S2K seats down in ATL for around $150.

Where did you order bumper from?

I originally ordered it from OEMbumpers.com and then when I found out they didnt have them I started searching elsewhere. There's an Acura yard in Knoxville, TN that I called earlier too, and they had 5-6 front bumpers that I could choose from, but then they were like we dont ship all the way to Charlotte. So I had no choice but to order from Acura. With shipping it came to $239.45

Damn, nice there's finally someone selling OEM bumpers on ebay, I've been watching them for years, and only seeing used ones. I just installed my new painted bumper cover on Friday
