i woudlnt' even put angled exhaust into jdm category (which the term is thrown around way too much anyway). to me, a jdm car is a usdm car modded to its full extent with jdm parts. because the cl was never built in japan, it could never be "jdm".


an angled exhaust has nothing to do with being jdm, it's more for an aggressive/sporty look in general. again, nothing to do with being "jdm".


either way, i like angled exhaust, but it depends on the application, on the cl i always find it a little weird looking, and i'm not a huge fan of that can style.

either way, props to doing what you enjoy.

Your problem, sir, is that you don't understand what JDM is. It isn't a style, it's parts/cars that were made in Japan, as was explained earlier. In all fairness, you arn't a ricer, you are one of the newer categories...a JDM ricer =) You think JDM is some wicked cool style yo...man, way to jump the bandwagon. I guess by things because you like them...but you're liking them for all the wrong reasons, because iT lOoKS RaCER aNd CoOL, yet hurts your performance...which has always been my definition of a ricer.

^this one looks worse than his cl, but the tl one looks the worst by far, and i think almost everyone can agree on that, and here's the pic

and i hope that you didn't get the whole exhaust done, cuz the whole point in getting new exhaust is to get better exhaust flow, not put a huge bend in it so you could have your rice can stick to the side. But aslong as you don't put on a huge wing, brake vents, etc.... i'll let this one slide

lordy that CL-s is god awful. half of me feels bad for the flaming were giving, but then comments like "I can make it JDM if I want to" just makes me think you need to be broken here. To JDM your nice CL, you'll have to rip off all the sheet metal, making an accord coupe, change out the interior for some crappy cloth seats, swap steering wheels. change headlights tail lights, and you'll have a JDM ACCORD! which essentially will mean you spent thousands of $$$ to reduce the value of your car and be the equivalent of hitting it with an ugly stick.


Personally I like being able to say my car is essentially American, which really messes with the rednecks around here. Wait I can have a nice Japanese car that aint Japanese?

The only JDM conversion I feel is actually worth the time is an old teg, but again youcant do that to a CL.

yeah, see I just dont like the look on a luxury car, whether it's a CL, TL, or a BMW or whatever... an eclipse yeah looks good. I still wouldnt put it on any car, but that's just me and on the right car it does make for a less restrictive exhaust. I'm done with this topic though. As everyone said were just stating opinions, if ya like it, great. If you had a giant wing on your CL than yeah we'd really lay into ya. my advice, take a breather, get over the criticism and come back just knowing we dont like it, it's not the end of the world. You still at least have good taste in cars.

it looks fine dude. god forbid someone gets something other than a magnaflow exhaust on here.

nothing wrong with an angled exhaust some of the nicest and most quality exhausts for the accord are angled. but what do i know i dont rock a magnaflow muffler.
