Check the fuses, but you def need to connect the SPEAKER WIRES
And if you have a bose amp, you've got more work to do than that

well if you bought the harness adaptor you may as well plug everything into it, I mean its there for a reason, mine for instance is grounded to the harness, same as the stock unit
but like I said, its there, just connect um all and see what happens, worst case scenario, you bought a shit deck that doesnt work

if i were u i would disconnect the battery when installing. check all ur fuses to see if any blew. on the back of headunit engine bay and drivers side. i always connect power before i connect up the speaker wires to verify its op. then once isee that it powers up i would connect the speaker wires. everything is color matched so its not that hard just make sure that u have a good ground also

cheayh .. it LIVES.. little godzilla lives.. lol im asain. king kong loses. so yeah. my one walmart sub thumps. well idk. i just got into this sound world thing. but yeah it was in my budget 250$ for everything. new deck, wires, built own box, good deal on rockford amp and pioneer sub. feel so proud. of my baby. but the box it still wood. to lazy to paint. just gotta turn down my gain and adjust and cover the wires in the engine bay. so yeah everything looks good. wires tuck, box sealed, and deck flush.
pics soon to come.!!

wow a full sound system for 250.... my headunit alone retailed for a little less than twice that, then my LAT at about triple that...... if I was content I would be like you, but I wasnt and craved more. I dunno if thats good or bad, good for me, my wallet wants to kill me for it though, as does my motor
oh yeah and why not just carpet the box, you can buy it at a car audio shop for not too much money, I think my friend wrapped a sealed box for his 12" Polk SR for about 15 bucks

good to hear
yeah always disconnect your battery when installing a deck
just an update on my situation: all you need is the standard 94-97 accord wiring harness for those with a stock Bose amplified system with bose speakers. You can use either the speaker wires on the harness or cut and wire in rca plugs on the harness side and plug them into your headunit's pre-outs. Either works fine. All you need to do to get the Bose amp working is splice the two blue wires from the wiring harness together (the blue and the blue/white wires) and connect them to the blue power antenna lead from your headunit's harness. Sure Bose speakers/amps aren't the best, but still sounds much better than the stock deck

No, the deck isnt a 5900, its a DEH-2000MP, cost me $85 at BestBUy. plus $15 for 4yr warranty. so yeah, cheap good deal. yeah ill do something to the box sometime..
thanks for the comments guys. and all the help about the fuse. lol. and the gaps.. ahh i got no money to make it go lower. i need new tires. my steering wheel is shaking. waiting for tax return. just got done payin college.
yeah i love my muffler too. so quiet. but at times i really want that loudness. but at times. quiet is the way to go.
just so yall know. i didnt buy a kit for the dash. i just took the stock deck braket and screwed on 2 metal plates to hold the bottom of the deck. its sturdy and cost me nothing. and the stock pocket hinges fit into the deck.. this deck fit great. id recommend for its simplicity and price.!

Nice install. That's almost exactly like the HU that I got. I've already blown one of the stock speakers though. Be careful because when you replace all the speakers you'll have to rewire and replace the Bose amp. Major pain in the a$$.
